He arrived in Weatherfield alongside wife Lou (Farrel Hegarty) as the latest “nightmare neighbours“.
The couple’s early scenes see them establish a connection with Chesney Brown (Sam Aston).
While Jodie Prenger – aka Glenda Shuttleworth – told The Sun how her character will “go to war” with the duo.
Bosses had also hinted Mick and Lou have a mysterious link to detective Kit Green (Jacob Roberts).
New executive producer Kate Brooks told The Sun: “We’ve got some great characters coming in.
“They are Mick and Lou. They’re coming to live at the back of Chesney, on Maudsley Street, across the ginnell.
“They are livewires, they are ruffians, they are going to cause a lot of damage and a lot of chaos.
“There is a link to Chesney initially, but they are coming to stir up a lot of trouble, and open up the floodgates and unpack the past of one of our big characters, which is Kit.
“So, really interesting, wonderful and dynamic stuff that’s going to be fantastic. We’re really excited, they come in with oodles of drama.
“They are shaking things up. They’re neighbours from hell. They’re overfamiliar, likeable and they’ve got kids.”
Kit Green’s blunder proves he’s a Coronation Street wrong’un
Fans have been eagerly speculating over what this connection could be.
Some suggested Mick bears a resemblance to Kit’s late half-brother Paul Foreman (Peter Ash).
Kit and Paul didn’t grow up together – as their mother Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove) gave Kit up for adoption as a baby.
They met as adults last year and spent a few months getting to know each other.
Tragically, Paul died in heartbreaking scenes after a battle with motor neurone disease.
One Corrie fan wrote on social media: “They might go down the route of Mick and Kit knowing each other through Kit’s corrupt cop style, which is another storyline that is booooring and already ongoing with Kit’s involvement with Harvey’s gang.
“And also that they’d bring chaos which they haven’t done too much of yet? I don’t get good vibes about Mick.”
