“Hurt and Humiliated” – Strictly Come Dancing’s Alex Kingston Left Reeling After Shock Boot Off Show

Iconic actress Alex Kingston and her pro partner Johannes Radebe knew their Strictly Come Dancing departure was “going to hurt” despite the fact Alex was unsure she had anything left to give the show. The pair became the latest couple to receive their marching orders and waltz off the BBC show after losing out to EastEnders star Balvinder Sopal and her partner Julian Caillon in the dreaded dance off.
Celebrity psychic and body language expert Inbaal Honigman says they weren’t happy about the result but they accepted it. Analysing their stance as they waited to hear the dreaded news she said: “As they wait for their results, Alex and Johannes are wearing identical, stony expressions. Both are gazing straight ahead, their jaws square and their cheeks flat, like a pair of disciplined soldiers. Their body language is identical, square and still, with their backs straight and their shoulders level. They both have a fair idea that this is the end of the road, and their bodies are saying that they’re bracing themselves for impact. They know that hearing the truth of their departure is going to hurt.”

Speaking on behalf of Casino Guru she continued: “Hearing the announcement, Alex’s flat hand on her thigh is accepting of the news. Her pose says ‘so, this is it’, and it demonstrates what a no-drama lady she is. She is totally on board with it ending. Not happy about it, but accepting it.
“When chatting to Tess, different emotions flash across Alex’s face, but mostly, her gratitude for Johannes is abundantly evident.
“She gazes upwards at him, in admiration, thankful that he made the experience so unforgettable for her. Alex’s hand on Johannes’s chest says that she credits him with her all, for getting them as far as they have gotten.
“Her bright smile towards Johannes shows a flicker of relief. Even though she clearly adored the experience, she questions whether she had anything left to offer,” she said.

Alex and Johannes performed their Cha Cha to Anita Ward’s Ring My Bell, for a second time in the dance off before Balvinder and Julian performed their Jive to Right Back Where We Started From by Maxine Nightingale.
The performances divided the judges with Anton Du Beke opting to save Alex and Johannes while Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse chose to save Balvinder and Julian.
It came down to head Judge Shirley Ballas, who this week had the casting vote, to decide the result and she chose to save Balvinder and Julian who now go forward to Musicals Week on Saturday December 6.
When asked by Tess about her time on the show, Alex said: “I had never in my wildest dreams imagined that I would last this long. It’s been just the most incredible journey for me. I feel quite proud of myself because I’ve loved the process, I mean 100%, you can tell by my smile. Everyone always says that their dance partner is a friend for life, but JoJo really will be.”
