I'm A Celebrity

The cast of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! 2025 have already been hit with a stormy start as they settle into their camp for the next three weeks, with thunder and lightning reportedly battering their new home. This year’s line-up boasts comedian Ruby Wax, actor and eighties pop sensation Martin Kemp, radio presenter and model Kelly Brook, rapper Aitch, former Lioness Alex Scott MBE, social media influencer Angry Ginge, EastEnders actress Shona McGarty, comedian Eddie Kadi, Emmerdale’s Lisa Riley and TV personality Jack Osbourne.

Australia is notorious for its extreme weather conditions, but heavy rainfall can lead to flooding in the camp due to a stream that runs through it.

Weather experts are predicting “thundery showers and a gentle breeze” in the region on Saturday (November 15). However, Downpours are expected to continue over the weekend before the sun breaks on Monday morning (November 17).

Australia’s Bureau of Meteorology issued a similar report for the forecast of New South Wales, stating: “A ridge of high pressure extends across the state. Later in the week, an inland low-pressure system and its associated trough look set to enter the state’s west before moving across the state during the weekend, bringing wet conditions.”

ITV producers were reportedly hoping for a dry series this year as adverse weather can dampen the spirits of the campmates who are essentially living outdoors. It’s been noted that when it pours, the celebrities huddle together in the Bush Telegraph for shelter, reports the Mirror.

In 2023, it was reported that Jamie Lynn Spears, sister of pop icon Britney Spears, quit the show because of the rain, followed by food critic Grace Dent. Last year was marked as the worst rain in the ITV show’s history, however no campmates decided to leave before their time.

A source reported to the Daily Mail: “The jungle camp cannot cope with this level of rain and the thing is, when it rains like this, it’s not fun for anyone involved. In fact, it’s miserable. It dampens the mood and ultimately ruins the show”.

The opening episode of the 2025 series launches tonight (Sunday 16 November) and the initial challenge that several of the stars will encounter is Sky’s The Limit.

The first five celebrities to reach the location are Kelly Brook, Aitch, Eddie Kadi, Shona McGarty and Martin Kemp who are instructed to skydive into their jungle adventure.

The famous faces are informed that they will be battling to secure a place in the Getaway car which will offer them the most straightforward path to camp.

Additionally, a steak dinner alongside a comfortable bed will be waiting for them should they triumph in the challenge.

A further five celebrities who turn up are transported to a luxury villa.

The first to enter the villa is Ruby Wax, who is immediately followed by Lisa Riley, Angry Ginge is the next to turn up, followed by Alex Scott and Jack Osbourne.
