Coronation Street aired an update on bully Mason Radcliffe on Monday night that teased an exit was looming for him on the ITV soap, but not all viewers were happy about the twist

Coronation Street fans were convinced an exit had aired, or was about to, in scenes offscreen and not everyone was happy about it.
The ITV soap aired an update about bully Mason Radcliffe on Monday night, days after it seemed he had got away with his recent antics. As well as bullying Liam Connor he threatened him with a knife, and despite Liam going to the police it was Dylan Wilson who faced trouble with the law.
Mason had set Dylan up and Dylan admitted his guilt, feeling bad for the way he had treated Liam. Dylan did confess to the police about Mason owning and using the knife, as well as his involvement in a hit and run months ago.
On Monday Mason was nowhere to be found, and he did not feature at all – while spoilers seemed to suggest he may not be on screen this week. Liam’s mother Maria Connor and stepfather Gary Windass were thrilled in the latest episode, as the police arrived with some news.
They confirmed Mason had been charged with threatening with a bladed article in a public place, and he now faces a custodial sentence. While it was not guaranteed he would be sent to a youth detention centre, it was heavily hinted this was likely meaning he would leave the show.

Several fans of the soap were happy with this, and happy for Liam to get justice. But some viewers were convinced this was it for Mason now and that he had already left, with his departure not shown on screen.
It’s not yet confirmed what is next for Mason, while Dylan could be facing court which means Mason may be called on to share his version of events. The soap has not announced actor Luca Toolan’s exit from the show, and the actor himself has not commented.
There is every chance Mason will be back on screen soon or at some point this year to tie up the storyline, and fans were left sharing their hopes for this to happen. Fans wanted to see Mason face his comeuppance, and for the bully’s downfall to air on screen.
Taking to X, one fan posted: “Wait did we not get to see Mason’s last scenes?” Another said: “I really hope we’re not being robbed of seeing Mason’s downfall on screen,” as a third wrote: “I hope we see it.”
One viewer theorised: “I think there’s more to this tbh, cause I think we’re going to see the trial and what brings Violet to the cobbles etc.” Others shared their joy at the news Mason would not get away with his actions.
