Coronation Street fans know Cassie Plummer is drugging Ken Barlow, who she is caring for, but fans are predicting she will soon be caught out

Coronation Street fans have worked out how Cassie Plummer will be caught for drugging Ken Barlow.
Cassie has been giving pills to Barlow patriarch Ken whilst she has been caring for him, leaving fans seething. When Ken fell and injured himself, it was made clear that he needed some extra support and Cassie was only happy to help.
Whilst it initially seemed the pair had struck up a great friendship, it was later revealed that Ken was being drugged by Cassie, as others grow suspicious for her reasons for helping out Ken.
In tonight’s episode, Tracy is growing increasingly suspicious about Cassie’s true intentions with Ken, and she was quick to warn the others about her concerns. Could this lead to Cassie being exposed?

One fan wrote: “Can’t wait for Tracy to uncover the truth about Cassie. Keep Mason k!ll off Cassie. #Corrie,” whilst a second added: “Can’t wait until Tracey absolutely wallops Cassie #Corrie.” A third shared: “Can’t wait for Tracy to expose Cassie #Corrie.”
The soap’s producer Kate Brooks previously teased Cassie’s connection with the Barlows will continue.
“That will continue. Cassie is great to have with the Barlows. She causes such fun, and I love her relationship with Ken, which is just wonderful. There will be a lot more of that. The friendship is genuine and real, but Cassie has had a bad life. She’s had a terrible upbringing. She’s made mistakes in the past and it’s sometimes hard to shake off that persona,” she said.

“That’s what we’ll see with Cassie. She’ll be struggling with the good angel and the bad angel on her shoulder, and which way is she going to go? She does stir up a lot of trouble and a lot of bother, not just with the Barlows but within No.9 [Tyrone and Fiz’s house] as well. So, Cassie and Ken, keep your eyes on them because it’s going to get good!”
Claire Sweeney – who plays Cassie – feared she would be public enemy number one after finding out about the storyline.
She said: “I was shocked. It’s Ken Barlow; he’s a national treasure. I’m going to be Public Enemy No 1! I think viewers are going to hate her. The funny thing is that they’ve just started to like her – they were finally warming to her – and then this happens.
“In my head, playing her, I’m trying to find saving graces, but I don’t know if there will be any. I’m a Corrie fan and I’d be fuming watching this. Already in the summer when I went on holiday to Majorca all the old dears were saying to me: ‘You leave Ken alone,’ ‘Don’t you be upsetting Ken now’. And that was before I’d done anything.”
*Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV1 and ITVX.
