For this year’s instalment, fans will see the young family travel to Finland as they visit another farming family dealing with the conditions of the Arctic Circle.
But for Kelvin, 40, he was instantly recognised for his role in Emmerdale as Andy Sugden.
Speaking to The Sun’s TV Mag, the dad-of-four said: “We were told that Emmerdale was a very popular programme in Finland.
“You never know how true that claim is but it turns out that it is a very, very popular programme there. A lot of people do watch it and as a result I was recognised.
“Apparently when the filming crew was contacting the Finnish board and the tourist board they said, ‘We know that guy.’ So that was a bit strange, from a previous life, if you like.”
Kelvin continued: “I’m not sure where they are up to. Normally with overseas territories there’s a bit of a delay so whether they are a year or 10 years behind who knows?
“But the guys did say they had seen me as a kid. That was a bit surreal.”
Fletcher’s Family Farm at Christmas will air on Sunday, December 29th on ITV1.
Emmerdale fans last saw Kelvin as Andy in the Yorkshire Dales all the way back in 2016.

During an appearance on This Morning, the actor opened up about his decision to leave the ITV soap.
Speaking to host Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford, he explained: “Twenty years is a long time. It’s been an incredible twenty years.
“I am so grateful to Emmerdale. Throughout that period I have always had a real sense of fulfilment and purpose.”
