Kelvin Fletcher is looking to be the next Amanda Owen after signing up to a new documentary series about his ventures into farming.
Fans had been devastated when Amanda’s hugely successful Channel 5 series Our Yorkshire Farm was axed in November.
But former Emmerdale actor Kelvin will be attempting to fill the void with his new sow, Kelvin’s Big Farming Adventure.
While the farmer Strictly champion can’t wait to get started, he has admitted that his wife was concerned about him “jumping in at the deep end” when he bought farm in the Peak District.
Annoucing his new TV show, Kelvin posed in a promo shot next to a tractor wearing a pair of wellies standing proudly next to his wife Liz Marsland and the couple’s two couple.
He captioned the post: “So happy to finally announce this!
“If you’ve been sat there wondering what these random farming and outdoor pictures are all about well now you know!

“We have literally jumped in at the deep end and bought a farm!
“A reluctant Wife, 2 crazy kids and a Husband with knowledge of farming you could write on the back of a stamp!
“What could possibly go wrong?!”
Kelvin and his wife Liz have been married since 2015.
The couple share two children, daughter Marnie and son Milo.
The actor, who played Andy Sugden in Emmerdale, recently told fans he was struggling to find work – and has been turned down for 10 jobs.
He said during an Instagram Q&A: “A friend of mine, an actress, just messaged me and said, ‘I can’t even get a f***ing self-tape.'”

“So I know how frustrating those little selfies are, because I’ve been that person thinking, ‘Even they are working now.’
“Let me tell you, I’ve had about 10 nos in these last few months.”
Kelvin revealed he’d bagged himself a role in a Channel 5 drama alongside Sheridan Smith, but his famous friends can’t wait for his farming documentary to start.
Top Gear host Paddy McGuinness wrote: “Amazing! Good luck pal.

Kelvin joked “what could possibly go wrong?”
“Put me down for eggs, milk and a crop circle.”
While Kelvin’s former Emmerdale co-star Charley Webb also showed her support, posting : “Go on K.”
Kelvin reposted more details about his new show from talent management company Intertalent.
The post read: “ BBC Studios Documentary Unit has commissioned 6 x 30-minute episodes, which will document the experiences of the family as they move their lives to a 120-acre 18th-century farm in the Peak District to start a farming business.”

Kelvin follows in the footsteps of Jeremy Clarkson, who has his dipped his toe into the world of agriculture, which he documents on Clarkson’s Farm.
JLS’s JB Gill also lives on a farm with his family, which he invites viewers to sample a taste of in CBeebies series Down On The Farm.
