Former Emmerdale and Strictly star Kelvin Fletcher said he couldn’t “contain” the emotions he was feeling in a heartfelt moment on Fletcher’s Family Farm.
The soap star has followed in the footsteps of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire host Jeremy Clarkson and Our Yorkshire Farm. Fletcher’s Family Farm follows the Fletcher family, including his actress wife Liz Marsland and their four children Marnie, Milo and twin boys Maximus and Mateusz at their 120-acre farm in the village of Wincle, near Macclesfield in Cheshire.
On Sunday’s episode, viewers saw the couple in tears after winning their first ever cattle award at a show in Cheshire. They also took Marnie and Milo to the competition to help lead the cattle to the judges.
Both children were excited to be involved, but Marnie got a case of the nerves before leading a calf called Cherry into the judging arena. However, they went on to win first place, reports CheshireLive.
Speaking off camera about his pride, the former Emmerdale star appeared to be choked up as he said: “I can’t explain the emotions I’m feeling.”

He added: “I was really nervous when I first went out and I was more nervous for Marnie, who said to me that she was ‘scared’ and it just broke my heart.”
Kelvin encouraged his daughter: “Come on push through it, embrace the fear and she did.” Kelvin wasn’t the only person wiping away tears, his wife Liz was also overcome with emotion.
Liz said: “I’ve already got tears in my eyes which I knew would happen,” she went on to say while laugh-crying: “I just can’t because he makes me so emotional because he has so much to do and it’s scary, it’s nerve-wracking and to just stand there and there are all these other people that have been doing it for years.”
She added: “I’m just so proud, so proud of Kelvin and so proud of Marnie.”
