Coronation Street star Luca Toolan has confirmed his new project after his exit from the ITV soap.

The actor played troubled teenager Mason Radcliffe on Corrie for over a year, before the character was killed off in a shock stabbing storyline.

Now he’s announced that he will be teaching weekly acting classes to kids aged 11 to 18 in Manchester.

On the Instagram page for Bee Rogue Talent, Toolan explained that he will be running some classes where he will teach improvisation, character development, script analysis and more.

The classes will take place between 5.30pm and 7.30pm on Wednesdays, and people can email to register their interest and join the waiting list.

Toolan said he was “super excited” to start teaching the classes and was keeping himself “as busy as possible” after Mason’s grisly end.

When his exit scenes aired, Toolan revealed that he felt a “mixture of emotions” when he first learned about his character’s dark storyline.

“Of course when I first heard, there was a mixture of emotions because I was sad that Mason was going to die and that means I would be leaving – but equally I was really excited and honoured to be part of this storyline because it’s an incredibly important issue that needs to be tackled,” he said at the time.

“I feel so privileged to have had this opportunity to start my professional career at Coronation Street and what a great time I’ve had.”
