Former Trump administration official Camryn Kinsey shocked viewers when she suddenly collapsed live on air during a Fox News segment on Thursday, sparking immediate concern both in the studio and online.
The unexpected incident occurred mid-discussion, leaving anchors visibly shaken and prompting a swift response from the production team. As the footage quickly spread across social media, speculation about Kinsey’s condition grew rapidly, with many viewers expressing worry and demanding updates. On Friday, Newsweek reached out to Kinsey for comment via Instagram direct message, as it was outside normal office hours. So far, no official statement has been released, leaving questions hanging about what caused the on-air collapse—and whether it signals a deeper health issue.
What To Know
The incident took place during a discussion about former President Joe Biden’s remarks regarding Kamala Harris’s election defeat to President Donald Trump in 2024.
Kinsey appeared to stumble over her words, saying: “So this is about incompetence, it’s not about ideology or uh, it’s not about uh.” She then fell off her chair to the floor.
The show’s host, Jonathan Hunt, said: “We’re just going to get some help her for Camryn.” He then handed the broadcast over to another presenter.
In a statement provided to Newsweek, Fox News said: “After Fox News @ Night guest Camryn Kinsey fainted during a live on-air appearance last night in our Los Angeles bureau, paramedics were called and she was treated and cleared. We are happy to hear she is now feeling much better and wish her a speedy recovery.”
A clip of Kinsey’s collapse was shared on X, formerly Twitter, by Ron Knight, a self-described member of Trump’s MAGA movement from South Carolina, who added: “Fox host passes out while on air. Cameron Kinsey.”

Kinsey spent six months working in the first Trump White House as external relations director at the presidential personnel office according to her LinkedIn account.
The Daily Mail reported she was just 20 years old when she got the job. Speaking to online publication The Conservateur, she said: “Only in Trump’s America could I go from working in a gym to working in the White House, because that’s the American dream.”
Kinsey went on to work for the conservative leaning One America News Network before setting up her own public relations company.
On Thursday, prior to Kinsey’s Fox News interview, she posted “New Pope!” on her X account to mark the election of Pope Leo XIV.
Thursday also saw Trump appoint longtime Fox News host Jeanine Pirro as the interim U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia.
At the end of last month, White House deputy chief of staff for policy Stephen Miller urged Fox News to fire its pollster live on air after being confronted with a survey showing Trump had negative approval ratings on issues such as the economy, tariffs and inflation.

One X user, who confused Trace Gallagher with Jonathan Hunt, commented: “Camryn Kinsey passed out on live TV on FOX News at Night while talking with Trace Gallagher. She struggled trying to complete a sentence, her eyes fluttered, then she fell off her chair.”
Another, referring to Hunt, said: “Hope Camryn Kinsey is ok. Shocked that he didn’t jump up and at least check her pulse.”

It is unclear whether either Kinsey will issue a statement about Thursday’s medical incident.
