DAYS of Our Lives actress Tamara Braun has revealed she has been axed from the show, insisting the news was “not an April Fool’s joke.”
The 53-year-old actress said it was “sad” that she wouldn’t be playing Ava Vitali in the long-running soap anymore.

Today Tamara took to her Instagram to let fans know that her run as Ava has come to an end – again.
The actress shared a montage of clips of herself with her Days of Our Lives co-stars, plus crew from the hit daytime soap.
Alongside it, Tamara penned an emotional messaged which read, “I wish this was an April Fool’s Joke but it’s not.
“This is Ava’s last week on Days. Last couple of days really. Sad but true.
“I’ve been gone since late July of last year but you can still catch Ava on your screens until April 3rd! I miss being with my Days pals.
“They are a really good group of caring individuals and being with them was a joy.”
The sad star, ended the message with, “Thanks for all the #love #kindness and #support during Ava’s latest Salem stint.”

Tamara first starred as Ava in 2008 for a few months before returning for another guest stint in 2015.
She became a regular on the show beginning in 2020 before leaving in 2022, and rejoining the following year.

In her last goodbye post on Instagram, the actress wrote, “Hey all you Days fans!! If you want to see Ava off, tune into DOOL today for her last day in Salem.
“Thought I’d share some of my memories from the last (almost) two years.
“Thanks for all the love and support you continue to show me. I will miss you all!! Wait, I’ll still be here, you can find me on IG!!”
She finished off, “Much love. #farewell #bekind #love #solong #Ava #tobereal #give #grateful #thankyou #adios #byebye #days.”
Away from Days of Our Lives, Tamara has previously starred in other soaps like All My Children as Reese Williams and in General Hospital as Carly Corinthos and Kim Nero in separate runs.
