Football fans noticed the same concerning thing about Troy Aikman during tonight’s Wild Card Round playoff game between the Los Angeles Rams and Minnesota Vikings on ‘Monday Night Football.’
Troy Aikman and Joe Buck are calling their penultimate game of the 2024 NFL season. The pair will conclude their duties for the year on Saturday when they call the Kansas City Chiefs-Houston Texans Divisional Round game at Arrowhead Stadium.
But throughout the contest, football fans noticed that something seemed off with Aikman’s voice. In this clip below, you’ll notice that the voice of the three-time Super Bowl champion sounds a lot different:
“Pray for Troy Aikman’s voice to make it through this game,” one fan wrote.
“Can Troy Aikman take the night off to rest his horse voice,” suggested another.
“Did Troy Aikman chain smoke a pack of cigs before this game? Bros voice sounds weird,” asked a fan.
“
“Troy Aikman’s voice is GONE 😭😭😭,” wrote another.
“Troy Aikman has a better chance of finding his voice than the Vikings do finding a stop on defense,” joked one fan.
“Troy Aikman’s voice is not going to make it to the second half,” claimed another.
The winner of the Vikings-Rams game will visit the Philadelphia Eagles in the Divisional Round on Sunday. The other NFC Divisional matchup will see the Detroit Lions play host to the Washington Commanders.
Troy Aikman Is Wrapping Up Third Season With ESPN
Aikman and Buck left FOX after two decades together at the network to take over the ESPN ‘Monday Night Football’ broadcasts in 2022, landing multi-year deals. The two men are wrapping up their third year together with the network, and then they’ll get eight long months off before the 2025 season kicks off.
