When did Dylan Dreyer have her baby?
Dylan Dreyer returned to The Today Show following maternity leave on January 24, 2022.
Commenting on her absence, Dreyer said: “I was just saying it feels like I haven’t left,” according to The Today Show.
“Like, all of a sudden four months came and went and it’s done and the kids are home, taken care of and I’m back.”
Dreyer and her husband, Brian Fichera, welcomed their third child on Wednesday, September 29, 2021.
Their son’s name is Russell James Fichera. He weighed 5 pounds and 5 ounces at the time of his birth.
Russell has two brothers: Calvin and Oliver.
On Tuesday, September 28, Dreyer revealed on Instagram that she would not be on The Today Show “for a while” because her water broke six weeks early.
“Our little guy is anxious to get out and meet us!” she wrote at the time.
“Doctors are closely monitoring both of us and trying to keep him on the inside for a little while longer to get stronger,” she continued.
The Today Show meteorologist assured fans that things were well and she was “in great hands” but asked for “any extra prayers.”

Dreyer revealed that she suffered from fertility issues prior to her second pregnancy.
In 2019, when she and her husband were trying to have their second child, she revealed that she had suffered a miscarriage.
Speaking about the experience on The Today Show, Dreyer said: “As my doctor told me, a miscarriage is not your body doing something wrong — it’s actually your body doing something right.
“Because something’s not right with the embryo. Your body is doing the right thing. It’s doing what it needs to do.”

While talking to The Today Show, Dreyer revealed that she and her husband were trying for a third baby for six months.
“We were trying and it wasn’t really happening and just kind of gave up,” she said.
“We were ready for the next phase.”
Dreyer said that she visited the doctor to see what was wrong, and he gave her a clean bill of health.
He also told her to “relax” and not think about getting pregnant so much.
After she took his advice, it didn’t take long for her to get pregnant.
“When we first got married, we thought maybe one day we’d have kids,” Dreyer said.
“But then we became obsessed with them….You just realize they’re the best things in the world,” she continued.
