Kelvin Fletcher has insisted that ‘everything is amazing’ with his wife Liz Marsland after he was spotted having a 3.30am nightcap with Strictly dance partner Oti Mabuse over the weekend.

The former Emmerdale star, 36, admitted that he is ‘bewildered’ by the drama their night out has caused after he rushed home earlier this week to reassure his wife who had unfollowed him on Instagram.

In a new candid interview, Kelvin, who is set to host a gala with Oti on a New York cruise ship in June, has insisted that it will ‘all blow over’.

Speaking to The Sun, the Strictly Come Dancing 2019 winner said: ‘Everything is amazing.

‘I am just a little bit bewildered by all the attention. But I am sure it will all blow over.’

It comes after Kelvin and his wife put on a united display on Wednesday, with Liz wearing her wedding ring once again as they emerged from their family home together.

But the couple, who have spent time apart while Kelvin toured the UK with the Strictly cast, will be separated once again when he heads off to New York with Oti in June.

The Strictly 2019 winner announced last month that he and Oti will host two masterclasses and a gala dinner for Queen Mary 2 cruise ship passengers.

He wrote at the time: ‘I’m very excited to announce that I will be teaming up with my dance partner again, @otimabuse for a very special event with Imagine Cruising in New York on the 13th June.

‘This exclusive event is the start of a holiday of a lifetime which will see you fly to New York for 3 nights where you will join us for a dance extravaganza! We will lead you through a day of dancing, fine dining, glitz and glamour!’

The couple have continued to put on a united front following the release of various pictures of Kelvin and his Strictly Come Dancing partner Oti.

In the face of the scandal, the couple, were spotted leaving the property they share with their children and getting into a Bentley together while Eliza looked to have put her wedding ring back on after taking the jewellery off the previous day.

Meanwhile, Kelvin is said to be ‘furious’ his ‘honour is being questioned’ after he was spotted having a 3.30am nightcap with the professional dancer, 29, over the weekend.

The soap star has also reportedly cancelled a guest appearance on Oti’s other BBC One show, The Greatest Dancer, where she is a judge alongside Cheryl, Matthew Morrison and Todrick Hall, in a bid to put his ‘upset’ wife Eliza Marsland first.

A source told the Mirror: ‘They were both just innocent drinks…Kelvin is furious his honour is being questioned and can prove it.’

While a different insider told The Sun: ‘Kelvin told Eliza he’ll curb late night drinks as he understands how bad it looked.

‘He needs to win back her trust as Eliza is getting increasingly frustrated with his close relationship with Oti.

‘Cancelling his TV record is his way of showing he’s putting her first, rather than Oti.’

Since the first batch of pictures emerged, Kelvin’s wife Eliza was spotted without her wedding ring amid claims she was left irritated by the images, however the couple went on to put on a united front when she dropped him at a train station.

Eliza went on to break her silence on social media, denying any reports of marital strife.

She posted: ‘That ring is heavy. It only comes out on special occasions! Oh and it was fake tan day #nodrama here.’

Liz was reportedly ‘upset and angry’ her husband was pictured enjoying a night cap until 3am on Saturday morning with his dancer partner Oti.

A source revealed Liz was unhappy with Kelvin going out partying while she was at home caring for their two children, Marnie, three, and Milo, one

Liz decided to unfollow Kelvin on Instagram after it got ‘too much’ seeing the pictures of her husband out late at night.

Kelvin was seen with his arm around Oti’s waist as they waited to be let into the hotel, following the evening out with the rest of their Strictly Live Tour co-stars.

A source told MailOnline: ‘Naturally Liz wasn’t happy after finding out Kelvin had been out late drinking with the Strictly lot.

‘It wasn’t easy for her to see him still out at 3:35am, while she’s at home looking after their two young children. Any woman would be upset if they were in the same situation.

‘In the heat of the moment she unfollowed him on Instagram, it was just a shock for her to see him out so late.’

‘But now she’s had the chance to speak to Kelvin face-to-face after he came home and they’re spending today together, she feels silly for unfollowing him and admits she acted on impulse.’
