One Piece Chapter 1135 will be officially released in 2025. However, panels from the upcoming chapter have already surfaced online. We see more interactions between the Straw Hats and the Elbaf giants as they celebrate together. An important aspect of the chapter is the revelation made by Colon. While speaking of his parentage, he reveals that his father was a human.

The fact that Giants have significantly different appearances based on their parentage, paired up with the difference in the appearance of Jarul and the other Giants might be a hint that explains Yamato’s unusual appearance in One Piece. Yamato’s introduction and character arc during Wano made fans believe that he would become one of the Straw Hats. He was introduced as Kaido’s daughter but refused to accept that identity and kept reiterating that he identifies as Oden.

As a result of the discrimination he faced and how he called himself an Oni on numerous occasions i.e. during his flashback and his fight with Yamato, fans believe that Oda will reveal the Oni race sooner or later.

The basis of this popular belief is the possibility that Kaido meant that he is an Oni literally rather than being one in essence or being perceived as such. Yamato has also been referred to as an ‘Ogre Princess’ and his mother might be a human which would explain him inheriting Kaido’s horns as well as his more human features. Therefore, this would confirm that Yamato belongs to the Oni tribe if it exists.

One Piece Chapter 1135 will be released on January 6th, and there might be some key differences between the official translation and the ones done by fans, which could turn this theory around.
