PHOTOS: BBC Breakfast’s Sally Nugent embraces BEACH CHIC in string 𝐁𝐈𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐈

BBC Breakfast anchor Sally Nugent looked ready for summer as she showed off her latest outfit on Instagram. The morning news host, 54, joked she was wearing “PJs all day” in a blue-and-white striped co-ord set, with long canvas trousers and a crop top worn open over a brown string bikini.
Sally hitched her bikini bottoms high on her hips so they peeked out of her waistband and paired the look with a chunky gold necklace around her throat. Adding a crochet sunhat and dark shades over her eyes, she let her brunette hair fall in gentle waves to frame her face.
It appears Sally is currently enjoying some time off, as she later shared a snap of a beach at sunset to her Instagram stories – though she didn’t tag her location.
It comes after Sally was forced to explain her absence from the BBC show after failing to appear on screens for three days last week. Instead, Luxmy Gopal stepped in alongside Jon Kay while Sally showed snaps of herself enjoying time off for her birthday.
She was spotted unwrapping gifts and opening cards while enjoying drinks with her friends, and showed off a cheeky birthday card from Jon that poked fun at her turning 54.

Jon wrote on his own social media: “Not only is 5th August International Dolly Parton Day… it’s also International Sally Nugent Day. Happy Birthday to my brilliant, clever, kind and funny friend.”
Sally does tend to keep her personal life out of the spotlight, sharing only a small insight into her life at home with The Sunday Times in 2022. She said that after work, she’ll “either go for a run or take Sadie [her dog] for a walk. It’s important to get some daylight. I’ll often meet a friend for lunch. Then I pick up my son from school before doing some news research.”
Sally was married to businessman Gavin Hawthorn, though their relationship reportedly ended in 2023.
