Emmerdale enthusiasts reckon they’ve pieced together the identity of Home Farm’s new proprietor in a dramatic revenge plot twist. The grandiose 17th-century estate, with its eleven bedrooms and sprawling acres, is the village’s pride and joy.
Situated half a mile from the village, the Home Farm Estate has seen a succession of residents over time. The manor is currently home to Kim Tate (played by Claire King), who has resided there intermittently since 1989.
Kim shares Home Farm with Dawn Fletcher (Olivia Bromley), her beau Joe Tate (Ned Porteous), and her three children, Clemmie (Mabel Addison), Lucas (Noah Ryan Aspinall), and Evan (Malachi McKenzie). Dawn’s former husband, Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle), recently vacated after their relationship ended due to her involvement with Joe.

In the meantime, Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) and her son, Thomas (Bertie Brotherton), also departed Home Farm for a fresh start at Dale View with her fiancé, Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson).
Recently, Kim entered into a business arrangement with Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) after he proposed to purchase Moira Dingle’s (Natalie J Robb) land using a previous investment policy.
He also covertly pilfered Lewis Barton’s (Bradley Riches) cannabis crop and sold it to newcomer villain, Ray Walters (Joe Absolom).
Upon Moira accepting Robert’s offer, he promptly made his way to Home Farm, where it was disclosed that Kim had provided him with the funds to acquire the land.
Kim was left intrigued by Robert’s confidence as he teased: “Trust me, I’m only just getting warmed up.”
This exchange has sparked speculation among Emmerdale viewers that Robert might be plotting a major betrayal against Kim, potentially seizing Home Farm from her grasp.
On social media, fans are abuzz with theories, with one asking on a Facebook fan page: “What is Robert’s game plan do we think?”
The responses suggest a brewing storm, with one viewer predicting: “I reckon he could buy Home Farm and kick Kim out,” while another anticipates: “Yeah I think Robert will betray Kim in some way or another.”
Another fan is convinced of Robert’s cunning plans, stating: “I think he’s going to set Kim up in some way and maybe even steal Home Farm from her now he’s back in the village.”
Emmerdale usually airs on weeknights from 7.30pm on ITV and ITVX.
