QB CHANGE Tom Brady set to make Aaron Rodgers decision as axed New York Jets QB makes retirement choice

TOM Brady might have his eye on the next quarterback of the Las Vegas Raiders.

After being forced out of the New York Jets, Aaron Rodgers could find his way to Las Vegas to play for his old rival.

The Raiders have a good draft position, but there is no guarantee either of the top quarterbacks in the NFL Draft fall to them at No. 6.

However, they could avoid that headache by simply signing a free agent quarterback this offseason.

According to Fox Sports’ Bucky Brooks, Brady could make a splash and sign the 41-year-old Rodgers.

“Tom Brady’s affinity for high-level quarterback play could nudge the Raiders toward a fling with Rodgers as the team’s QB1,” Brooks said.

“Despite his recent struggles, the veteran would provide some stability for an organization that desperately needs reliable quarterback play to compete with the heavyweights within the division.

“Rodgers’ presence, poise and production could help Pete Carroll jump-start the team while searching for a long-term solution at the position.”

CBS Sports’ Cody Benjamin also shared some pros about Rodgers becoming the next quarterback of the Raiders.

“The Raiders need someone – anyone – under center, and they’ve got loads of cap space to spend on potential upgrades up front and out wide,” he said.

“New coach Pete Carroll insisted Las Vegas is focused on winning immediately, and that makes sense, considering he’s 73.

“Rodgers, whose sheer volume of experience could attract new minority owner Tom Brady, could make for a perfect short-term partner.”

Now, this whole scenario hinges on Rodgers decided to play another season in the NFL.

He has yet to make any official statement about his future, but did share that he will think about it in the offseason.

“This game has given me a lot. I’ve given a lot back to it, and I’m thankful for it. I won’t be thinking about that on game day,” Rodgers said ahead of the Jets’ series finale.

“I’ll just be enjoying this. I’m trying to stay in the moment, but, of course, it’s been a long career.

“I’m really proud of what I’ve been able to be a part of, what I’ve been able to accomplish, and I’m also looking forward to a nice mental and physical rest.”

NFL fans have their opinions about Rodgers’ future, and shared those on social media.

“Aaron Rodgers for a year and draft a QB. That’s better than any other option out there at the position,” one fan said.

“Rodger’s talent isnt worth the distraction at this point. Hard hard pass,” another fan said.

“If the Raiders sign Aaron Rodgers, Sam Darnold, or Russell Wilson they will make the playoffs,” a third fan said.

“Is Aaron Rodgers and his baggage worth it?” a fourth fan said.
