SAD NEWS: Coronation Street Gives HEARTBREAKING UPDATE on Carl Webster in Early Preview

Coronation Street’s Carl Webster is facing a sinister threat, and he needs a huge sum of money to escape danger.
Carl has got into debt with some dangerous people back in Germany, and his arrival in Weatherfield earlier this year was partly to get away from those he owes money to.
But it seems the situation has escalated, as in today’s episode, Abi noticed that there was a nasty cut on his face and a split lip when he got to the garage.
He came up with an excuse as to how he got hurt, but Abi didn’t believe him. However, Debbie later got suspicious as well, and she wouldn’t take no for an answer.

Carl admitted that he was in trouble and told his sister that he needed money. Debbie said she would give him whatever he required and offered to bank transfer him some cash.
Abi overheard Carl making a tense phone call, and he told her that he was in serious debt. With the pair continuing to grow closer, Abi was concerned about his safety and urged him to get the money, but Carl was confident that Debbie would pull through.
In the pub later, Carl reminded Debbie about the money and asked her to transfer the cash as soon as possible. But she thought it might be a couple of thousands, so was left shocked when Carl asked for £50,000.

Debbie apologised and told her brother that she didn’t have that kind of money to give him, and he was left without a solution to his terrifying problem.
When Abi asked for an update on the situation before she headed off to the Lakes with Kevin and the kids, he lied and told her that a mate had given him the cash, and everything was resolved.
It was clear that Carl was far from in the clear though, as he then received a frightening text, saying: “I want that money. Tick tock.”
How far will Carl go to get the money he desperately needs?
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
