SAD NEWS: This Morning PAUSES to allow Craig Doyle and Emma Willis to make HEARTBREAKING ANNOUNCEMENT

This Morning presenter Craig Doyle issued a devastating announcement live on air on the ITV show as he revealed his mother Eithne is currently in hospital in his native Ireland. In a further blow, he confirmed his best friend was in the same hospital, and in a strange coincidence they have been placed in rooms next to each other. Opening the show with co-host Emma Willis, he paused the show to share the sad news.
Looking at the camera he said: “My mum is hospital – and one of my best buddies, Johnny Rogan is in hospital. And won’t you believe it, because Ireland is a village, they’re in the rooms beside each other by pure coincidence. They said they’re going to watch together this morning. So mom. Johnny hiya.” He then joked: “Put your teeth in Mum.” Emma chimed in to wish everyone watching in hospital well as Craig pointed out that every time you visit someone in a hispital during the day you can hear the This Morning theme.

iculge what was wrong with hm mum this latest stay comes after he revealed in May that she was in hospital.
During the edition of the show on May 28 he asked: “Can I say hello to my mum who’s in hospital.
“Hello mum, how are you? Have you got the sound up? Good girl.”
On that occassion co-host Rochelle Humes also sent her well wishes chiming in: “”Hello mum! Hope you’re good. Love her.”
Back in 2012 Craig admitted his mother was ill with cancer which was why he had chosen to work in Ireland during that period.

“I wanted to come back to Ireland because my mother was very sick…I came home to be closer to my parents. I’m sorry but those were my reasons,” he told the Irish Independent.
Eithne fully recovered on that occassion but the former Grandstand presenter confessed he was enjoying having his wife and four children back in Ireland, where he used to present a weekly chat show.
“It’s not about money. It’s about being able to drop your kids off at school on my way to work or pop into my mum and dad just to say hello for 10 minutes. You can’t put a price on that, can you?”
