The new series of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! is due to start this weekend as a brand new bunch of stars take on a variety of Bushtucker challenges.

I’m A Celebrity is due to return this weekend, but the show has already been plagued with issues as the camp has reportedly been hit by a thunderstorm. The 2025 series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! is shaping up to be one of the most star-studded line-ups in years, with household names from music, sport, and soapland heading to the Australian jungle. Spandau Ballet legend Martin Kemp, Emmerdale actress Lisa Riley, rapper Aitch, model Kelly Brook, TV star Jack Osbourne, and BBC presenter Alex Scott are just some of the big names who will be taking on the jungle.

According to MailOnline, there has been a huge thunder and lightning storm that has occurred over Australia’s Gold Coast. An insider told the publication: “The jungle camp cannot cope with this level of rain, and the thing is, when it rains like this, it’s not fun for anyone involved. In fact, it’s miserable. It dampens the mood and ultimately ruins the show.”

ITV has been contacted for comment by Express Online, where a spokesperson said: “We have contingency plans in place to cover all weather eventualities.”

Last year, the camp was “invaded” by “poisonous toads” ahead of the show launch. According to The Mirror, the famous jungle camp was “under attack” from deadly toads that could cause vision problems if they squirt toxins into a human eye.

The publication said: “As if there weren’t enough things for the campers to worry about like spiders, snakes and ticks, now it looks like they’ll have to keep an eye out for armies of these poisonous pests.

“They love ponds so the jungle creek and even the famous shower area will need to be monitored closely.”

In a new twist, I’m A Celebrity viewers will no longer be able to vote for a contestant to do three or more Bushtucker Trials in a row.

Show bosses have implemented a new rule change for the upcoming series, in which stars can only do a maximum of two Trials consecutively. In the shakeup, if they are voted for two challenges in a row, they will then be exempt from the next vote.

The system will then reset, and celebs can be voted for a further Trial or two afterwards.
