He starred in the role for almost two decades before bowing out of Emmerdale last year.
Now Danny has announced a brand new career this week on his official Instagram account.
The 32-year-old has turned to narrating audio books – which are his son’s favourite.
In a post, he said: “Myself & @nigewingmanclucas are delighted to finally announce the release of ALBERTS BOOKSHELF!!
“Please watch the video as it explains the bigger picture behind releasing our very own audiobooks of some of Albert’s Favourite books read by his Dad.
“If you’re lucky enough to be a parent of a child who loves books as much as Albert, this may give you a chance to just sit or lie back with them and let their imagination run free.
“The comments are open for any constructive (key word) criticism.
“We’re looking to record more so will always take in the sensible ones and try and adapt as we do the same in this beautiful world of children and growing up.”
Meanwhile, The Sun previously revealed how Danny is facing a government probe over the collapse of his acting firm.
The company owed tax at £68,548 and £78k to unsecured creditors.
An administrator has revealed in a report sent to Companies House that it is unlikely he’ll be able to pay up.
They’ve filed a report to a government department about Danny’s running of Cannon Professional Acting Ltd, that took in cash from the actor’s work.
