Alex Scott has been voted out of I’m A Celeb. Tension had continued rising in the Australian camp after it emerged that seven campmates were at risk of elimination.

The Lioness told hosts Ant and Dec: “Sorry if I stink,” as she made her way to the studio moments after being voted out. “It doesn’t feel real, you just live in that moment with the campmates,” she said. Reflecting on her exit, she said: “It’s been such an incredible experience. Mentally, I did struggle missing home, but Im so glad I got to do this series with such a great bunch of campmates.” She added: “It’s tough in there – constantly going to get water and firewood.”

She explained she had never expected to have such a great time in the jungle. But there was one situation Alex never brought up with her campmates – an unidentified male leaving the toilet seat up in the dunny.

Addressing her contraband drama, Alex revealed she saved an additional packet of salt for Ant and Dec, laughing that she “grabbed a load” before heading into the jungle. “I just grabbed a load of salt, and I put them in my sock,” she said. “My campmates were in on it. And now every day they wish they had salt.”

Speaking about growing close to Shona McGarty, Alex said that they were “quiet personalities” who gravitated towards each other. “Shona, I think Ginge and Aitch are great, amazing, to see them in the final, but to see Shona being made Queen of the Jungle would change her and give her the confidence to be brilliant at life”, she gushed.

Millions are expected to have voted – mainly led by fans of popular duo Angry Ginge and Aitch. An insider told the Mirror: “It’s been unprecedented… And one of the reasons why people have had issues with the app.” It comes as the weather in camp has hit 30 degrees over the last few days, which has come as a relief after they were battered by storms earlier this week.

This is a relief to the celebs as the damp conditions attract leeches and an influx of biting insects. Says the insider: “All the celebs were complaining about being bitten in the last few days…there were very uncomfortable conditions.”

Tonight’s episode saw Aitch, AngryGinge, Alex Scott, Ruby Wax OBE, Kelly Brook, Jack Osbourne and Martin Kemp all face the public vote. The stars at risk were decided during Thursday night’s episode as they took on a one-on-one trial, with the losers facing elimination. Angry Ginge and his pal Aitch found themselves in the firing line after they split their drinks during a brutal challenge.

Earlier in the episode, Jack, Ginge, Alex, Kelly and Ruby also found themselves in bother. In order to win their dinner, the group faced The Cave. In here, they had to work out the six-star puzzles above their heads, which represented a star for camp.

Each famous face had to poke their head through one of the six holes, which was filled with critters and spiders, as they attempted to complete the jigsaws.

Ruby was the only celeb not to complete her task in the dedicated time, with the group eventually winning five out of six stars. And in true I’m A Celeb fashion, an unlikely friendship formed between streamer Ginge and Ruby. Ginge revealed to Eddie, Ruby and Tom that he once had 85,000 people watching a stream at one point.

He said: “That night was a crazy night, so we were playing FIFA, and we were playing against a professional footballer against us, and that’s why it was such a big number. Then after it, I just sat there, and I thought ‘Wow, I’ve just basically sat in the middle of Old Trafford and then just played a FIFA match.”

Ruby was curious and asked Ginge how he made a living through streaming, before joking that she would start a YouTube channel with him in order to grow her social media followers.

“I’m thinking of a blueprint for Ruby when we get out to help her on the old YouTube,” Ginge said in the Bush Telegraph. He added: “I just need to put her on that first step so she can climb the ladder.”

The pair joked that they could be the next presenting double-act.
