SH0CKING: Revealing Who is Gogglebox star Lara’s brother – Fans discover star has a VERY famous sibling

Gogglebox returned in September with its latest season, with a host of new faces sitting on one of television’s most famous sofas. One of the new pairs was Lara and mother-in-law Sara, but there’s more than meets the eye with this duo.
After a fairly sedate opening to their stint on the long-running Channel 4 series, Sara and Lara have been in the headlines recently after viewers discovered that the latter has a very famous brother.
The brother in question is known for his various survival programmes, which often see him pushing his body to the limit and eating all kinds of grub. If you haven’t guessed yet, then his first name takes after an animal?
Still haven’t got it? It’s of course Bear Grylls, who is known for fronting Man vs Wild and a slew of other survival series. In a fun fact, it was reportedly Lara who gave him the name ‘Bear’ when he was younger.
The bit of family trivia was discovered by fans on TikTok, with one viewer commenting (via Daily Mail): “Controversial opinion, but it does help to get chosen to go on Gogglebox if your brother is Bear Grylls.”
Sara and Lara’s stint on the series was announced in September as part of a revamp for the show, with Studio Lambert creative director Mike Cotton sharing a statement following the news.
“It’s a delight to welcome some new households to the Gogglebox family,” he said. “Along with our much loved returning cast, we can’t wait to join them in their living rooms and hear their candid thoughts on this week’s most talked about TV.”
Elsewhere on the series, popular figure Georgia Bell recently announced that she was engaged, sharing on Instagram: “14.10.25. YES YES YES!! Officially in our fiancé era. A memory to remember for a lifetime.”

The comment section was inundated with messages from her co-stars, with close friend Abbie Lynn writing: “Ahhhh just beautiful. Massive congratulations to you both! So so happy, lots of love.”
“Congratulations!! That’s amazing news,” wrote fellow co-star Sophie Sandiford, while Jenny Newby and Lee Riley commented: “Congratulations to you both wow great news much love to ya.”
Gogglebox airs and streams on Channel 4.
