“She’s struggling… and the truth is finally out.”
Sharon Osbourne has opened up about Kelly’s dramatic weight loss — and the emotional battle their family has faced since losing Ozzy. One interview… one moment… and fans are in tears.
Sharon Osbourne has spoken for the first time about her daughter Kelly’s striking weight loss, revealing the heartache and grief that has consumed their family since the death of rock legend Ozzy Osbourne in July.
Appearing on Piers Morgan Uncensored in her first televised interview following her husband’s passing, Sharon didn’t hold back. She said Kelly’s noticeably slimmer frame has nothing to do with Hollywood rumours — and everything to do with unimaginable sorrow.
“Of course she’s unhappy,” Sharon admitted. “She’s lost her dad. She can’t eat right now. She’s doing the best she can.”
Her comments come after Kelly hit back at online trolls accusing her of looking “sick” and using Ozempic. In a defiant video shared earlier this week, Kelly said:
“My dad just died… I’m doing what I can to get through each day.”
The 40-year-old star, who previously revealed she shed 85lb postpartum by cutting sugar and carbs, reminded critics she owed them no explanation. Sharon agreed, saying online abuse stems from “jealousy, unhappiness, and people projecting their own insecurities.”
A Family Still Reeling From a Sudden, Devastating Loss
For the first time, Sharon also recounted the heartbreaking final morning of Ozzy’s life — a moment she describes as “instant and irreversible.”

The former X Factor star opened up about her daughter’s appearance in her first TV interview since Ozzy’s death in July
Ozzy, 76, had woken repeatedly during the night. As dawn broke, he looked at Sharon and said:
“Kiss me. Hug me tight.”
Minutes later, he made his way to their home gym for what would be his last workout.
Within 20 minutes, he suffered a fatal heart attack.
“I ran downstairs and they were trying to resuscitate him,” Sharon recalled, her voice cracking. “I just said, ‘Stop. He’s gone.’ I knew instantly.”
Despite multiple attempts — even after he was airlifted to hospital — doctors could not revive him.
“Ozzy knew the end was close,” Sharon said, revealing that his medical team had warned him he might not survive his final farewell concert. But the Black Sabbath icon insisted on performing one last time.
Online Scrutiny Amid Grief
Kelly, who has faced scrutiny over her body for decades, said she has received more criticism about her weight than any other part of her career.
“People think they’re being funny by asking if I’m ill. They have no idea what I’m going through,” she said in her video message.
Sharon echoed her daughter’s pain:
“It’s a shield — people attacking others because they’re unhappy with themselves. I just feel sorry for them.”
Honouring a Legend
On what would have been Ozzy’s 77th birthday, Sharon and Kelly posted emotional tributes online. Sharon shared unseen photos from their life together, writing:
“My darling husband, I celebrate the day you were born. I will hold your hand again on the other side.”
Kelly added:
“Life without you is hard… I love you until eternity.”
Fans gathered at Birmingham’s Black Sabbath Bridge, where a floral tribute spelled out “Happy Birthday Ozzy,” accompanied by the message:
“We love you, daddy — Louis, Aimee, Kelly and Jack.”
Moving Forward — But Forever Changed
Sharon says she has no intention of ever remarrying.
“That’s it for me,” she said softly. “He was my one.”
Though the Osbourne family continues to face harsh online scrutiny, they remain united — carrying Ozzy’s legacy while navigating the heavy weight of grief.
For Kelly, that grief has reshaped her entire body.
For Sharon, it has reshaped her entire world.
