The man accused of murdering two Delphi teenagers was sentenced to 130 years in prison after being found guilty.
Richard Allen, 52, was convicted of two counts of murder and two additional counts of murder while committing or attempting to commit kidnapping in the 2017 k!llings of Abigail Williams, 13, and Liberty German, 14, in a case that became known as the Delphi Murders.

It was reported that both Williams and German were found later with their throats slit and their bod!es about a mile from where they were last scene alive. In her final moments, German reportedly took a short video of the man police later claimed to be the k!ller.
The murders initially went cold for five years until Allen was arrested in 2022 when police managed to match an unspent cartridge found near the girls’ bod!es to a pistol recovered from his home during a search. According to the state, Allen confessed to k!lling the girls more than 60 times to his wife, his mother, the psychologist who treated him, the prison warden and other prison staff and inmates.

Allen was found guilty last month. It was reported by CNN that the Indiana courtroom was quiet as the verdict was read, however, the emotion coming from both families was palpable. The outlet stated that Allen remained stoic as the verdict was read.
NBC affiliate WTHR stated Allen’s wife vowed that “this isn’t over at all” as she left the courtroom.
According to to ABC affiliate WRTV, Prosecutors took nearly an hour of the 12-person jury’s time during closing arguments by summarizing different points of the case and adding that February 13 is, “a day this community will never forget.” State attorney Nicholas McLeland also stated that it was “a day Abigail Williams and Liberty German were k!lled by Richard Allen.”
