A new terrifying video shows wildfire smoke right near the Los Angeles Rams’ practice facility as they prepare for Monday’s Wild Card Round game against the Minnesota Vikings.
Southern California has been hit with a horrific and tragic series of wildfires that began on Tuesday. Per multiple reports, there are six confirmed deaths from the wildfires, with nearly 2,000 homes being burned out.
Hundreds of thousands of residents were also ordered to evacuate. According to California’s Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, there are 92 total wildfires that have burned more than 29,000 total acres.
Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic shared a video of wildfire smoke right near the Los Angeles Rams’ practice facility in Woodland Hills, a neighborhood in San Fernando Valley:
The NFL announced earlier this week that they still plan to hold the Los Angeles Rams-Minnesota Vikings game at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood. If they have to move it, the game will be played at the Arizona Cardinals’ home venue of State Farm Stadium.
The NHL’s Los Angeles Kings and NBA’s Los Angeles Lakers had their latest home games at Crypto.com Arena postponed due to the wildfires. The Kings were set to host the Calgary Flames on Wednesday night, with the Lakers initially scheduled to host the Charlotte Hornets this evening.
Sean McVay’s Los Angeles Rams won the NFC West with a 10-7 record, holding off the Seattle Seahawks via tiebreaker to claim their first division crown since 2021.
Los Angeles Rams Look To Win First Playoff Game In Three Years
The Rams missed the postseason in 2022 after claiming the franchise’s first Super Bowl championship in 22 years. They snuck into the postseason last year as a Wild Card Team but fell to old friend Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions on Wild Card Weekend.
LA is a considerable underdog against the 14-3 Vikings, but they managed to defeat Sam Darnold’s group here at SoFi Stadium 30-20 back in Week 8.
