Former Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher and his wife, Liz, returned to ITV for the second season of their hit show Fletcher’s Family Farm and they expressed the success of renting their cottage for holiday rentals.
Liz spoke on last week’s episode revealing the responses from keen holidaymakers have been “crazy” and it has “gone above and beyond expectations”. On the popular series, the couple shared insights into their family’s life living on a 120-acre farm with their four young children. And now fans can book it from £254 per night and prices vary depending on seasons.
Fans have seen Kelvin, who once played farmer Andy Sugden in Emmerdale, take on real-life farming duties. In the latest episode, he said: “Like a lot of farmers we have to diversify to generate extra income to support our livestock and this year one of our most profitable streams has come from our cottage that we renovated and converted for people to stay in.”

Liz added: “Since we put the cottage up for rent as a holiday let, it has just gone crazy. We put it online for about two days, and the year literally sold out. So, we’ve now got bookings going into 2025. It’s just gone above and beyond our expectations.”
Kelvin then referred to the cottage as his wife’s ‘baby’, joking that if he can’t find her on the farm, he knows exactly where she’ll be – “spending her time on her new obsession”, reported Stoke on Trent Live.
The overnight stay, which is bookable via Sykes Holiday Cottages, boasts an array of five-star reviews. The listing stated: “Resting on private farmland, boasting off-road parking, gorgeous interiors, and superb views of the surrounding countryside, this beautiful property welcomes a family of six for a relaxing, self-catered escape near the outstanding Peak District National Park.”

The three-bed cottage boasts a kitchen/diner with open fire, sitting room with woodburning stove, a conservatory, an enclosed garden with lawn, decking and hot tub. However, Liz and Kelvin noted that no hen or stag parties allowed and no dogs allowed.
Rich, a recent guest, said: “The cottage had everything we needed and we received fast and helpful advice and support from Liz. I’d recommend Stag Cottage as an idyllic, quiet and cosy home for anyone’s restful holiday. Nearby we found nice villages, pubs and amazing walks. Many thanks for the opportunity to enjoy your lovely home.”
A second guest echoed this in November: “It feels so homely as soon as you step inside. Very cosy and welcoming, beautifully decorated. A real gem! Very comfortable beds. We love how quiet it is. Kelvin and Liz were lovely and friendly. We would love to stay again! Thanks from Jules and Chris.”
