Taylor Swift may be known for her critically-acclaimed lyricism, but sometimes, a social media “like” is worth a thousand words.
The 35-year-old pop star reacted to close friend Brittany Mahomes’ exciting new milestone — she and husband Patrick Mahomes just welcomed their third child — by dropping a “like” on the couple’s birth announcement on Instagram.
“•Golden Raye Mahomes• 1/12/25🎀✨,” Brittany — who also shares daughter Sterling, who will be 4 next month, and son Bronze, 2, with the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback — captioned the Monday, January 13 post featuring the first glimpse of their baby girl, whose name follows the Mahomes’ metallic theme.
Swift, for her part, wasn’t the only A-lister to show love to Brittany and Patrick. Fellow superstar athletes, including gymnast Livvy Dunne and NBA star Caitlin Clark, shared their congratulations to the happy couple, who have been together since they were high school sweethearts in Texas.
Patrick’s brother, Jackson Mahomes, commented, “Uncle jack loves her so much already ❤️.”
Swift and Brittany, 29, became friends soon after the 14-time Grammy winner began dating boyfriend Travis Kelce — Patrick’s Chiefs teammate — in late summer 2023. Since then, Swift and Brittany have frequently been pictured cheering on their significant others from a private suite at the Chiefs Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.
Swift, Kelce, 35, and the Mahomes have also been photographed on double dates, everywhere from New York (the foursome famously sat together at the U.S. Open over the summer) to Europe (Brittany shared a photo from their double date amid Swift’s European leg of the Eras Tour in July).
Patrick, for his part, gushed over Swift to CBS Mornings in December 2023, explaining how her relationships with both Kelce and his wife have been instrumental to him.
“She’s top-tier at her profession, and to see how she drives and she becomes that — Dude, it’s really cool to hear about and to see, and now I have a first-hand look at that through Brittany and Travis’ eyes,” the three-time Super Bowl winner shared at the time.
