Coronation Street‘s Chesney Brown will get a worrying warning over his new friend Mick Michaelis next week, as Mick continues to make enemies on the cobbles.
After Mick and his wife Lou moved into Weatherfield recently, they struck up a friendship with Chesney and his wife Gemma and have begun to hang out together at the pub and at Chesney and Gemma’s home.
However, they haven’t been so popular with the rest of their neighbours, due to their habit of blasting loud music and Mick’s clashes with Debbie Webster and Ronnie Bailey.
In scenes that will air on Wednesday, April 2, and Thursday, April 3, Gemma and Chesney’s friendship with the new couple develops further after Mick and Lou offer Gemma their old TV, as well as lending her their car roof box for their upcoming holiday.

Elsewhere, Mick isn’t proving so popular with Ronnie, who issues Chesney and Gemma a warning about Mick – suggesting he isn’t what he seems and that they should watch their backs around him.
After he has another run-in with Mick, Ronnie slashes one of the tyres on his van, with Debbie witnessing the incident.
Heading into The Rovers, Mick approaches Ronnie and demands payment for the work that he’s done, as well as compensation for the damage that Ronnie has caused to his van. Ronnie is backed into a corner, as Mick reveals that he caught Ronnie vandalising his tyre on his van’s CCTV.

Later on, Chesney’s heart sinks when he gets a text from Mick inviting him out for a drink at the pub.
After agreeing to go, Chesney tries to hide his anxiety around his new friend as Ronnie’s warning rings in his ears.
Mick and Lou intrude even further as the evening goes on, as Chesney and Gemma settle down for a quiet evening in front of the TV. They’re disappointed when they’re interrupted by the sudden arrival of their new friends, who are armed with beers and snacks.

Whatever comes next in the storyline, it has just been announced that Mick will be leaving the cobbles over the summer, with actor Joe Layton set to film his final scenes next month.
Digital Spy understands that the star signed a fixed-term contract when he joined the Corrie cast, with Mick’s storyline set to come to a head in July as he makes a dramatic exit.
