Jorian Jackson, 29, is being sought by officers in connection with the d.e.a.th of Cheyenne Russell, 26, who was found with multiple gunshot wounds in a home in Tyler, Texas.
A massive manhunt is underway for an ‘armed and dangerous’ suspect accused of m.u.r.dering his ex-girlfriend.
Jorian Jackson, 29, is wanted by police after mom-of-two Cheyenne Russell, 26, tragically died from ‘multiple gunshot wounds’ in Tyler, Texas. Police said they responded to the homicide at an apartment complex located at 9099 Bellwood Lake Road just after 3pm on Monday. Cheyenne, who had a child with Jackson and was reportedly trying to get a protection order against him, was found d.ea..d at the scene.
A statement from Tyler Police reads: “On Monday, January 6th at approximately 3:05pm, officers, detectives and crime scene investigators responded to a homicide at an apartment complex… One female victim was found deceased with multiple gunshot wounds inside the apartment. She has been identified as Cheyenne Russell, a 26-year-old female from Nacogdoches. Her family has been notified.”

Police said they are now trying to track down Jackson, who they have warned is dangerous. Their statement added: “A warrant for M.u.r.der with a $1,000,000 bond has been issued on Jorian Jackson. He is to be considered armed and dangerous… This is not a random act. This case is still under investigation.” Police spokesperson Andy Erbaugh from the force said his team was working tirelessly to find their suspect. He added: “If you see Jorian, you contact the Tyler Police Department immediately.”

Cheyenne’s family has claimed that she and Jackson had an ‘abusive’ relationship. But they never believed she would end up d.e.a.d. Cheyenne’s mother, Jennifer, told KENS 5: “It’s hard enough trying to grasp the reality that she is gone for this Earth, but on top of that, the reality that she was m.u.r.d.ered.”

“For the sake of the kids, we never thought he would take it this far. He has hurt her several times throughout the last few years and she finally found her voice, and this time was done with him.” Jennifer said her daughter had been trying to evade Jackson for the past year and had been attempting to get a protection order against him when she was k.i.ll.ed. She added: “Nothing is going to bring my baby girl back.”
“I need to be able to look at her children and let them know that we have done everything possible to bring justice for the tragic way their mother was taken from them,” she told KENS 5.
A GoFundMe page set up to raise money for Cheyenne’s funeral has so far made over $14,000. The statement on the page, created by a family friend, reads: “Dealing with the unspeakable tragedy surrounding Cheyenne’s m.u.r.der is more than any parents should bear.
This stressful situation is compounded by the financial needs that arise when planning a very unexpected funeral/memorial and taking over the care of Cheyenne’s babies… If you are able, please donate to help ease some of the worry as they begin this grieving process.”
