NBC meteorologist Dylan Dreyer has been married to Brian Fichera for nearly a decade.

On September 29, 2021, Dylan welcomed her third child into the world and returned on January 24, 2022, to The Today Show from her maternity leave.

Who is Dylan Dreyer’s husband?

Brian Fichera is a writer and producer who has been married to Dylan Dreyer since 2012.

They met while both worked the early shift at the WHDH television station in Boston, according to Good Housekeeping.

They have two young children, plus the third baby they welcomed in September 2021.

The Today co-anchor revealed on the air on May 11, 2021, that they are having a baby boy.

Dreyer shared a video of herself and her 4-year-old son Calvin making cinnamon “buns in the oven” while cradling her belly.

She joked about her belly on The Today Show, saying: “I’m holding my stomach and I don’t have to hold it in anymore.

“We really enjoy having kids. Calvin and Ollie, they’re so much fun. And we’re like, ‘Let’s try for a third.’ And it wasn’t happening so we said, ‘Let’s forget it, let’s move on.’ And then, of course, surprise!”

When did Dylan Dreyer have her baby?

On September 28, 2021, it was announced on Instagram that Dylan was in hospital after her water had broken six weeks early.

“Just a little update as you won’t be seeing me on @todayshow or @3rdhourtoday for a while,” Dylan penned on the app.

“My water broke Sunday evening and I’ve been hanging at the hospital. Our little guy is anxious to get out and meet us! Doctors are closely monitoring both of us and trying to keep him on the inside for a little while longer to get stronger. All is well! I’m in great hands and I have the best person to keep me calm and comfortable.”

On September 29, 2021, Dylan gave birth to her third child, a boy named Russell James Fichera. The baby arrived early morning, weighing 5 pounds, 5 ounces and measuring 18 inches long.

The couple already has two boys, Calvin, 5, and Oliver, 2.

“It’s fun to add another boy to the mix!” Dylan told Today.

“I don’t have to add any toys!”

Dylan added: “The holidays are going to be bananas!

“When we first got married, we thought maybe one day we’d have kids.

“But then we became obsessed with them …. You just realize they’re the best things in the world.”

Did Dylan Dreyer have a miscarriage?

Dreyer suffered a miscarriage before the birth of her second son.

In a 2019 interview on Today, Dreyer recounted the experience of realizing she’d had a miscarriage and then having to put on a brave face for her work on the show.

“I’m devastated, and I have to go to work on The Today Show and be happy and smiling and pretend like nothing’s wrong,” she said.
