Emmerdale fans are sharing their excitement over Robert Sugden’s return but are all wondering whether he knows about Liv Flaherty’s d3ath.

Robert turned up on John and Aaron’s wedding day last month before being sent back to prison.

But, fans shouldn’t fear! Robert’s about to make another, permanent, return back to the Dales.

Robert Sugden’s return in Emmerdale

Robert Sugden recently made a surprise return to Emmerdale in an attempt to stop the ‘love of his life’ Aaron Dingle from marrying John.

Aaron was stunned to see the face of his ex-husband again after six years, and ended up punching him in the face.

Briefly pausing the wedding to have words with Robert, Aaron actually kissed him. But, then he regained composure and chose to go ahead with the wedding after all.

Aaron and John then (much to our disappointment) tied the knot as poor Robert sat and waited for the next bus to come. But, before he could hop onto said bus, PC Swirling came to arrest him.

You see, by crashing the wedding, Robert had actually missed his probation meeting. This landed him right back behind bars… But, not for too long.

Emmerdale fans asking same thing about Liv and Robert

With Robert returning and having not yet mentioned Liv’s d3ath, fans are wondering whether he even knows that she’s d3ad.

Considering that he knew about John and Aaron’s wedding, we hope that Robert’s not completely oblivious to the d3ath of the girl he used to call his sister-in-law. But, we need clarity.

Taking to X, one fan asked: “Do we think Robert knows Liv is d3ad??”

Another said: “Robert helped Aaron find Liv so when Robert comes back we need a scene where they talk about Liv.”

A third person wrote: “I was thinking if Robert found out about the wedding through social media, did he also find out about Liv’s d3ath the same way? Without preparation? All on his own? Without comfort and support? No more Roblivion ever.”
