With the revolving door of guest hosts joining Jenna Bush Hager on the Today show, it’s hard to say who could be a perfect fit as a co-host. Well, it looks like fans already have thoughts about who could be her sidekick — and they’re giving one particular star a thumbs up.
For the week of March 10, viewers had the opportunity to watch NBA superstar Dwyane Wade be Jenna’s co-host on her show Today With Jenna and Friends. While some already pitched Willie Geist to be the person who sits alongside Jenna in the mornings, it wasn’t hard to see that Jenna and Dwayne’s dynamic was palpable on the air. From talking about the latest in pop culture to vulnerable thoughts about parenthood, Dwyane came out swinging as a Today guest host.
If that wasn’t enough, fans didn’t just have the chance to see Dwyane and Jenna’s rapport on the air. Today‘s social team posted an Instagram clip of the two sharing thoughts about how to raise their children while they are both in the spotlight.
“@jennabhager shares words of wisdom with @dwyanewade about raising kids who are in the public eye based on her own experience,” read the caption for the snippet on March 11.

As fans continue to tune in for Jenna and Dwyane’s onscreen chemistry, many couldn’t stop commenting how they’d so enjoy it if Dwyane were to have a permanent spot on Today’s fourth hour.
“I think @dwyanewade should be your forever co-host! 🔥,” one person wrote in the comments. “He is so soft and just impressive. He will be a great co host ❤️❤️,” another agreed. “Mr D-Wade 🥰 He should be a permanent cohost 🙌🏽👏🏼 I looooveeee him 🥰,” a different follower added.
As fans may remember, Jenna started rotating guest hosts after Hoda Kotb exited the Today show in early January. She has since had a plethora of big names sit alongside her, including Scarlett Johansson, Regina Hall, Kelsea Ballerini and more.
So, how does Dwayne feel about his latest gig? Well, judging by what he wrote on Instagram, he seems to be enjoying himself just fine.
“So yesterday morning I made a new friend @jennaandfriends,” he wrote on March 11.
