TRAVIS HUNTER – who is expected to be a top-five pick in the 2025 NFL Draft – has had more than just football on his mind lately.

The Colorado Buffaloes player and his fiancée Leanna Lenee shared they were getting engaged ahead of his last season in Boulder.

And then she was on his arm as they turned up in Green Bay for the 2025 NFL Draft.

Who is Travis Hunter’s fiancee Leanna Lenee?

Leanna Lenee is more than just Travis Hunter’s fiancée, she’s his forever teammate.

She was 19 years old when she and Travis met, and their connection has only grown stronger over the years.

Leanna was born in November 2001 and earned her bachelor’s degree from Kennesaw State University in 2022.

Pretty impressive, especially considering she revealed on Instagram that she completed her four-year degree in just two years.

Travis, for his part, is about a year and a half younger, born on May 18, 2003.

But their age gap clearly doesn’t slow them down one bit.

In March 2024, Leanna posted a TikTok of the two of them enjoying some late-night takeout, writing: “What it feels like when God allows you to meet the man of your dreams at 19 and every night together for the past 3 years has felt like a sleepover with your best friend.”

It took a little time for things to click, but Travis and Leanna officially started dating in February 2022.

In a YouTube video they did together that October, Travis admitted he first shot his shot on Instagram.

Leanna didn’t respond for about two months, and when she finally did, she told him she just wanted to be friends.

They kept texting for another couple of months, though, and everything changed when Travis tagged along with Leanna to a friend’s birthday dinner because she didn’t want to go alone.

According to him, they’ve been “in love ever since then.”

They now celebrate their anniversary on February 26, often marking the day with sweet posts on social media.

Leanna once shared on Instagram that Travis came into her life at “the most unexpected time,” and it’s clear they’ve been inseparable ever since.

She wrote of Travis in a post in February 2023: “I would constantly pray that God would give me a reason to keep moving forward so I can fulfill his plan for me.

“That he would give me motivation to continue, and you were his answer.”

Meanwhile, Travis has made it clear just how much Leanna means to him.

He stated in an Instagram post back in November 2022 that he’s “so happy God” brought her into his life.

In a heartfelt message to Leanna, he wrote, in part: “You are one of a kind and I truly believe that we are meant to be together.

“You are the best girlfriend in the world and I’ll paint the sky red by any means.

“I know I make you crazy but trust me I ain’t going no where and I’ll always be yours.”

Travis has said he’s all in when it comes to Leanna.

He’s promised “to do everything possible” to make her the “happiest woman in the world.”

And he’s not just about the sweet words, having already stood up for her.

After winning the Heisman Trophy in 2024, some fans criticized Leanna’s reaction during the ceremony, but Travis wasn’t having it.

Lenee got called out after a clip revealed that Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders tapped her on the shoulder and appeared to tell her to stand up and applaud Travis, after he won the award.

He jumped on Twitch to defend her, saying he feels “the same pain that she feel” when people come after her.

The pair deactivated their social media accounts for a while after attending the Sports Illustrated’s annual awards ceremony in January 2025.

At the festivities, he was given the 2024 Breakout Star of the Year honor.

The wide receiver and cornerback took the stage and thanked Lenee during his acceptance speech.

“I don’t know where I’d be this year without just praying every night with my fiancee,” Hunter said as the camera then showed Lenee sitting in the crowd.

“I want to thank my family and everybody around the Colorado program.”

It was the couple’s first public appearance since the Heisman Trophy award ceremony incident.

She stood up and hugged Hunter before sitting back down.

Social media users also called out Lenee over a previous video which displayed her appearing to be angry with Hunter after she posed for photographs with female fans at his own event.

How long has Travis Hunter and Leanna Lenee been engaged?

Travis and Leanna took their relationship to the next level in February 2024 when they announced their engagement.

Travis popped the question with a stunning ring that featured a diamond band, and of course, she said yes.

“A million times, yes,” Leanna captioned the engagement photos she posted on Instagram.

Travis and Leanna share their life on YouTube and TikTok, posting videos from trips, their engagement, and fun moments, like dancing in animal onesies, since launching their channel in October 2022.

Travis is expected to be a top NFL draft pick alongside Colorado teammate Shedeur Sanders.

However, he told CBS Sports’ Garrett Podell that if an NFL team wanted him to play just one position, he would rather retire than play football at all.

“It’s never playing football again,” Hunter said in response to the idea that his future team would limit him to play on just one side of the ball.
