Alison Hammond was left begging Paddy McGuinness not to ‘break’ the TV ‘magic’ as he rampaged his way through the This Morning set to gatecrash Loose Women.

The comedian and TV presenter appeared alongside former I’m A Celeb star and radio host Jordan North to speak about their experience preparing for Soccer Aid 2026 when Paddy, 52, got distracted.

He spotted Loose Women star Kaye Adams on the screens giving fans a sneak peek as to what was coming up next for ITV viewers – and soon realised, the studio for the fellow daytime show was in the room with them.

Looking around the This Morning studio, Paddy pointed across to Kaye, 63, shouting: ‘She’s over there!’ as he revealed the studios shared a space.

‘She’s only over there, I didn’t know that. It’s just there,’ he added. ‘Spin the camera around, I was going, “where are you?” and you’re there.’

Trying to stop Paddy from revealing the two shows were sharing a studio space, Alison, 51, called out after him: ‘Don’t break the magic Paddy!’

But not listening, Paddy continued to the other side of the studio and announced: ‘I’m going over. Now I’m in the Loose Women studio… I’ve got to go and talk to This Morning!’

Re-joining Alison and co-host Dermot O’Leary, who tutted he had ‘ruined the magic’, on the sofa, Paddy concluded: ‘I’ve been on telly for over twenty years and I’ve only just got on to that! Fantastic.’

Paddy went on to cause more chaos as he opened up on the wildest moments behind the scenes of Soccer Aid – the world’s biggest charity football match which raises funds for UNICEF.

He recounted a time when Prince Harry joined them during Soccer Aid 2016, for a boozy night out that saw them KISS on the dance floor – leaving Alison and Dermot accusing him of lying.

Paddy previously revealed of the bizarre turns of events in 2021, which saw Harry, 41, eager to visit the fictional island of Fernando’s, the winning destination for couples on dating show Take Me Out which Paddy presented.

He wrote in his autobiography: ‘To say we were dancing close was an understatement — our chests were touching. He asked me again if I could send him to Fernando’s.’

The presenter then described the moment Harry whipped his shirt off as he continued: ‘He then proceeded to take my shirt off. So now I’m topless, a bottle of beer in each hand, dancing with Prince Harry.

‘We finished dancing and while everyone was cheering, we embraced and he gave me a smacker on the lips.’

Earlier this year, This Morning faced a major change as it moved studios – as all of ITV’s daytime programme was shaken up.

It was announced in 2024 that the broadcaster’s daytime shows would be hit with a new schedule, with Good Morning Britain extended by half an hour, Lorraine reduced by 30 minutes, and Loose Women cut to just 30 weeks of the year.

And while This Morning’s two-and-a-half hour run time was left to air as normal, the show, like its other daytime series, has moved to a new studio in central London.

While Good Morning Britain was broadcast live from the ITN Studios, This Morning went on air from The H Club, in Covent Garden, for the first time in January.

It saw a major change to the set-up of the iconic This Morning studio – with the blue sofa instead on the left hand side of the studio, and a kitchen on the right.

The changes also saw Loose Women moved, and its live studio audience scrapped.

In January, viewers were left raging over ITV‘s ‘downgrade’ as the show aired its first episode without a studio audience.

In June last year the Daily Mail exclusively revealed that the ITV programme was set to axe the live audience in a desperate bid to save money as the channel’s budget cuts raged on.

The previous month it was reported that Lorraine and Loose Women were set to be axed for half the year, as well as Lorraine’s runtime was  to be slashed by 30 minutes.

Taking to social media after the panel shows’ return, one penned: ‘Omg how weird is Loose Women with no audience…’

‘Why is there no audience?’ another chimed in, as a third chimed in: ‘Already missing the old layout, ITV really downgraded both locations for loose women and this morning.’

‘The audience helped bring a fantastic atmosphere and now decided that it’s not important anymore,’ a fourth wrote.

While a fifth concluded: ‘At least there was some atmosphere with an audience. It’s like they’re all talking loudly to fill a void.’

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV1 and ITVX
