Tyra Banks is putting a coin in the swear jar!

On the Thursday, April 17 broadcast of Today with Jenna & Friends, the model, 51, opened up about her relationship with her boyfriend Louis Bélanger-Martin and how the two met when she unintentionally dropped a bomb on air.

After Jenna Bush Hager asked what her dating life was like before finding love with the businessman, Banks looked to Bélanger-Martin for permission to “be real” before sharing her dating philosophies.

“Ladies, we do not need to be fishing with a fishing pole. You throw the net,” she explained. “These men, they throw the net. They date this one, this one, this one at the same time. And then they narrow, narrow, narrow down until they find the one.”

She added how some women generally date “one at a time,” and eventually find themselves shocked when their exes get married “all of the sudden.”

“[It’s] ‘Cause he threw the net, bitch!” she said, as she brought her hand to her mouth. “Am I allowed to say that?”

“I don’t think you can say that. But I love you so much,” Bush Hager replied, laughing before Banks asked, “Did you guys do the beep? Beep me!”

When she asked if Banks had cast a net before Bélanger-Martin “came in,” he interjected, “I was the only fish!” before the America’s Next Top Model alum answered with a hesitant, “Uh, sure…”

“I threw those fish out so quick! I got the best goldfish,” she smiled, referring to Bélanger-Martin. “You had a net too, child, don’t act like you didn’t have a net!”

Bush Hager gave Banks props for her “perfect description” and told her that she would be sharing the information with “my young cousins who are here.”

“Oh my gosh, do you guys have ear plugs?” the fashion icon joked. “Step-Auntie Tyra is going to put some money in the curse jar and give it to you guys. Do not do what I say at all.”

Banks has been dating Bélanger-Martin since at least 2019. Although they have largely kept their romance private, Banks and Bélanger-Martin have been frequently spotted out together, including at the TIME 100 Gala in 2022.
