UNBELIEVABLE: Ed Davey ignores ailing King Charles, angering Piers Morgan with SH0CKING STATEMENT

Piers Morgan raged at Liberal Democrats leader Ed Davey after he refused to attend the state dinner held in honour of President Donald Trump’s visit.
Last month, it was revealed that Sir Ed Davey had written to King Charles to explain why he felt he needed to refuse his invite to a state banquet for Donald Trump. He told Sky News: “It’s with deep regret that I’ve had to take the decision, but I feel with what is going on in Gaza it’s the best way I can get my voice heard.”
He had explained that he had “huge respect” for the King and it was a very difficult decision that he “really wrestled with”.
However, Piers made his thoughts quite clear as he invited Ed Davey on Uncensored, saying: “Why would you want headlines that say Sir Ed Davey snubs the King and Trump? The King, who by the way, is currently battling cancer.”

He added: “You’ve chosen to snub the King when he’s really sick, and you’re snubbing Donald Trump. I don’t think it’s going to have any effect you think it is.”
Sir Ed Davey told Piers that he is “humble enough to know he doesn’t know who I am, and doesn’t care, the fact I’ve got Liberal and Democrat in my title means he knows I’m not one of him, that’s fine.”
But he stood strong on the fact that he didn’t believe he was snubbing the King, adding that he said sorry, and that he wanted to attend, but felt, due to the reasons he had already stated, he couldn’t in good conscience.
Davey continued: “I didn’t feel I could accept the invitation at this time. I really, really wrestled with it because I have so much respect for the King.”

He told Piers that he had spoken to his wife about it, had prayed about it, but ultimately had to land on the decision to not attend.
Regardless, Piers wasn’t having any of it, telling Davey: “When he comes, your contribution to the UK welcoming the most powerful man in the world, I’ve never seen the royals do this for anyone the way they’ve done it for Trump today, your contribution is to stick a massive two fingers up at him.”
Davey had previously said that Trump “does not represent British values” as he refused to take part in the banquet.
