UNBELIEVABLE: Ricky Hatton’s son’s heartbreaking update as tragic cause of D3ath revealed live on GMB

Ricky Hatton’s son Campbell has opened up about how his family are coping following the d3ath of the boxing legend last month.
Campbell, 24, joined Richard Madeley and Kate Garraway during Good Morning Britain today to speak about his father’s untimely d3ath on the day of the boxing legend’s inquest.
Ricky was tragically found d3ad at just 46 years old on September 14, sending shockwaves through the sporting world.
Speaking on how he’s been doing since the funeral, Ricky’s son Campbell said he has been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support the family have received.
He said: “It’s been a bit of a whirlwind the last few weeks leading up to the funeral. It was unbelievable really to see the amount of love everyone had for my dad.

“There were thousands in the streets. There was a lot of comfort to take from that. It’s been very up and down really. As a family we’re trying to take each day at a time.”
He later added: “He always said that he was more proud of his fanbase than he was all the belts and the titles. It was obvious how much he was loved, but to actually see everyone in the streets, it was surreal.”
A public inquest into the tragic passing of the boxing legend took place this morning at South Manchester Coroners’ Court in Stockport.
Coroner Alison Mutch told the hearing Hatton was found unresponsive in his bedroom by his manager Mr Speak. Speak called in to check on the star he was due to accompany to Dubai the same day for a press conference to officially announce his comeback fight.
The court was told that the former boxing champion – who was nicknamed The Hitman – “appeared well” when family members saw him at a dinner on the Friday night.
However, he did not turn up at an event the following day, and his body was found by his friend and manager Paul Speak.
In an interview Hatton gave before his shock d3ath, spoke movingly about his struggles with mental health.
In the chat with First Round TV, he said: “Thankfully, I didn’t get to the stage where I ended up killing myself. I got to the stage where finally for whatever reason I decided to go and knock on someone’s door and say, ‘Please help me’.”
When asked how he felt now, he replied: “Never better, to be honest with you.”
Days after his father’s tragic d3ath, former boxer Campbell took to social media to express his grief.
“Heartbroken isn’t the word,” he wrote. “Everybody has always said I was your double – never a truer word said. Looked up to you in every aspect of life.
“Can’t explain how much I’m going to miss the laughs we had and all the good times, which I will remember forever. Just can’t believe we won’t have any more. Love you, Dad.”
10 days ago, October 6 would have been Ricky’s 47th birthday, as Campbell shared yet another emotional message on social media.
“Happy birthday, wish we was spending it together,” he wrote. Elsewhere, Campbell said in an interview with ITV that the family were “absolutely heartbroken – it was so unexpected.”
“We had so many plans coming up, so it has knocked us for six, but obviously, we are trying to be there for each other. The outpouring of support from absolutely everyone has been amazing, so that’s helping us through a lot – but yes, absolutely heartbroken.”
