WAIT… Lulu has made a HEARTBREAKING APPEAL during a live appearance on Lorraine just hours before Ozzy Osbourne’s FUNERAL
In a heartfelt plea on Lorraine, Lulu reached out to Sharon Osbourne mere hours before the funeral of rock legend Ozzy Osbourne. The Black Sabbath frontman d!ed last week at 76 after battling various health issues, with his final send-off scheduled in Birmingham this Wednesday afternoon. Appearing on ITV’s morning show, the Shout! singer, also aged 76, implored Sharon or her aide Melinda Varga to get in touch. With Christine Lampard filling in as host, Lulu expressed: “I wanna say, Sharon, I know you won’t be watching but if anyone is watching, Melinda, can you call me? I know they’re busy but I want to get hold of you guys because I really, really want to be there to support Sharon.”
Ozzy had taken the stage with his Black Sabbath mates for a last hurrah at Villa Park in Birmingham shortly before his passing, and Lulu, whose own musical journey began in the ’60s, remarked: “Unbelievable, you couldn’t make it up. You couldn’t plan that exit.” The erstwhile Absolutely Fabulous actress also reminisced about the “last interesting” celebrity passing she recalled – magician Tommy Cooper’s dramatic heart attack during a live TV performance in 1984.
As Black Sabbath tunes filled the air, chants of “Ozzy Ozzy Ozzy” echoed from the crowds gathered behind metal barriers on a Birmingham street. Security staff were seen collecting bunches of flowers from fans to place alongside those already adorning the Black Sabbath Bridge bench.
The Prince of Darkness had been yearning to return home in recent years following his Parkinson’s diagnosis, and Ozzy managed to make it back to England before his passing. The touching message atop the statement announcing his d3ath stated “Birmingham, England July 22, 2025”, indicating that Ozzy had returned to his roots one final time.
He leaves behind his wife Sharon, their children Jack, Aimee, Kelly, and his children from his first marriage, Jessica, Louis, and Elliott.
She reminisced: “This was a long, long time ago, was Tommy Cooper, he was on [stage], chatting away, he’s funny as hell and everyone’s laughing. Then he pulls the curtain, says goodbye and he just drops. That’s how I wanna go! I’m making this light, but, it’s…it’s so sad,” reports the Mirror.
However, Lulu’s request to Sharon didn’t sit well with all viewers, with one commenting on X: “Lulu asking Sharon to get in touch with her. Painful,” while another remarked: “Lulu making it all about her. And Sharon’s avoiding her calls lol.”(sic)
Ozzy passed away at 76 last Tuesday, with his private funeral scheduled for tomorrow. In a touching gesture, his family arranged for a special procession along Broad Street in Birmingham, giving fans an opportunity to bid farewell to the rock legend.
The cortege journeyed past landmarks like Black Sabbath bridge and bench, which have become makeshift memorials adorned with flowers for Ozzy. Accompanied by his family and serenaded by Bostin’ Brass, a live brass band, Ozzy was honoured in his final send-off.
