Karoline Leavitt was noticeably absent from President Donald Trump’s Army anniversary parade on Saturday.

Following the president and vice president’s attendance, the White House Press Secretary was not seen in any public media.

The parade, which began at 6:30 p.m. ET, honored the Army’s 250th anniversary with a festival and parade located at the National Mall in Washington, D.C. on Saturday, June 14. The anniversary coincides with the Republican president’s 79th birthday.

The creation of the Army began on June 14, 1775, when the Second Continental Congress voted to form the Continental Army from the militia units around the city of Boston. On the next day, June 15, George Washington was elected commander in chief of the forces.

An Army spokesperson has previously stated the event could cost between $25 and $45 million and included an estimated 6,700 soldiers, 28 Abrams tanks, 28 Bradley Fighting Vehicles, 28 Stryker vehicles, four Paladin self-propelled howitzers, eight marching bands, 24 horses, two mules, and one dog named Doc Holiday.

The event, which included various festivities, was reportedly planned for nearly two years, and the parade idea was added earlier in the year. There were anti-Trump protests at the Army parade.

It comes after Karoline snapped at NOTUS reporter Jasmine Wright, for questioning if peaceful protests would be allowed on Saturday’s Army parade following Trump’s warning to said protestors that they would be met with “very big force.”

“Of course, the president supports peaceful protests. What a stupid question,” she commented.
