Rebecca Jarvis, the 42-year-old GMA host, broke down in tears live on air, sharing her long and emtonal journey to welcome her second baby through srrgate.

She and her husband Matt Hanson, married since 2012, had their first daughter Isabel (4) after seven rounds of IVF. But two years ago, Rebecca tragically lost a pregnancy at five months. Through tears, she asked doctors: “What do we do now?” and heard the painful answer: srrgacy was the safest path forward.

“Every time I got pregnant, I saw the world through rose-colored glasses. But losing a baby took all of that away… it was so tough,” Rebecca shared, grabbing Matt’s hand. Even after choosing srrgacy, she admitted to “holding her breath” until their son Leo was born just a week ago: “I looked at Matt and said, ‘Our family of four is complete.’”

The couple flew across the country to meet their son. They had taken Isabel to Disney World to tell her she’d be a big sister. When they finally shared the news, Isabel exclaimed: “My Disney wish came true!”

When Michael Strahan asked why they chose to share their story, Rebecca said tearfully: “We wanted to give other families hope, so they don’t feel so alone.”
