The Simpsons fans all had the same reaction as the future of the series was revealed in a landmark announcement.
The American animated series hit our screens in 1979 and has gone on to air 783 episodes over 36 seasons.
Now Fox has revealed that four of their programmes have bagged more episodes, and the new seasons are a ‘pact’ with Disney TV Studios that they have called a ‘meganimation deal’.
The Simpsons will have get four new seasons, totalling the show up to a whopping 40, with 15 episodes in each.
Fans are absolutely over the moon with the news.

‘Nice! Love that we’re getting more of both The Simpsons and Family Guy,’ another wrote.
Not only that, American Dad! will also have four new seasons.
Fox has ordered a renewal of the early 2000’s cartoon sitcom American Dad!, which first hit screens back in 2005.

It will total to 60 additional episodes in 15 half-hour instalments per each of the four seasons.
American Dad! originally aired on Fox’s Animation Domination before moving to TBS in 2014, running on the TV network from its 12th season to its 21st which finished last month.
It was recently confirmed to be returning to Fox and has been welcomed back with the whopping multiple new season order.
Other iconic shows, including Family Guy and Bob’s Burgers.

Iconic cartoon series American Dad! has reportedly seen 388 episodes so far and features voice overs by Seth MacFarlane, Wendy Schaal and Scott Grimes.
The long-standing satire show follows Stan Smith as he deals with family life and saving the country.
It comes after another comedy series returned to screens after being off air for seven years.

Fans can’t contain their excitement as beloved show, Dave Gorman Modern Life is Goodish, made a comeback earlier this year.
The comedy series starring Dave Gorman, 53, returned to the UK TV channel U&Dave for a series of three hour-long specials in Feburary – and fans couldn’t be more thrilled.
Taking to Reddit, one fan wrote: ‘Absolutely loved MLIG and I’ve watched every episode multiple times.’
