BREAKING – GMA Host Michael Strahan’s New Role leaves viewers Stunned: “Michael, you Really Did that?”.
Michael Strahan Expands His Career With New Documentary on the History of Black Quarterbacks
From the NFL field to the television spotlight, Michael Strahan continues to prove he’s a true all-rounder — both professionally and personally.
Since joining Good Morning America in 2016 alongside Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos, Michael has become a staple of American mornings. Yet beyond the anchor desk, he’s been quietly building a résumé in media production — and now, he’s unveiling his latest project: “Evolution of the Black Quarterback,” a new documentary premiering on Amazon Prime this September 24.
As executive producer, Strahan supports Michael Vick, the film’s featured host, in exploring the legacy, struggles, and breakthroughs of Black quarterbacks in American football. While Vick’s history includes a controversial past, the documentary is already generating buzz for its timely and powerful narrative.
In an interview with Harvard Business Review, Strahan reflected:
“I thought playing in the NFL would be the greatest thing I’d ever do. But when kids today don’t know I played, I realize this [media career] has gone even further.”
Despite his fame, Strahan admits he still feels nervous before live TV.
“That nervousness is what keeps me going. It’s the spark I wake up for,” he said.
Perhaps his most enduring quality is humility.
“When I walk into the GMA building, I speak to the security guards the same way I speak to my co-hosts,” he explained. “No one gets special treatment — we all make this show together.”
