BREAKING: Jeanine Pirro officially becomes Federal Prosecutor in Washington D.C. After A Narrow Victory – Fox News and America erupt – BUT a warning sent to her has caused a public uproar.
Jeanine Pirro — the former Fox News firebrand and onetime New York judge — was confirmed Saturday along party lines as Washington DC’s top prosecutor.
The Senate voted 50-45 to approve the former Westchester County prosecutor and elected judge, who stepped in as the acting US Attorney for the District of Columbia in May.
Pirro was confirmed despite House Democrats urging the GOP-led Senate to reject President Trʋmp’s second hand picked nominee to lead the office, warning that the former co-host of Fox’s “The Five” would serve as a p2rt1s2n t..l for the White House.

“Over the past decade, Ms. Pirro has consistently demonstrated that her l0y2lty l13s with Donald Trʋmp the person, not with the C0nst1tut10n or the rule of law,” Maryland Rep. Jamie Raskin wrote in a letter to Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), Courthouse News reported.
Pirro was tapped to serve as the capital’s top prosecutor after Senate Republicans balked at the president’s first choice, Ed Martin, leading Trʋmp to yank his nomination.
Her confirmation comes just days after the Senate narrowly approved the nomination of Emil Bove, Trʋmp’s former defense attorney, to a lifetime seat on the 3rd US Circuit Court of Appeals.
The Senate, at the request of Thune, also unanimously voted on Saturday to hold pro forma sessions – brief meetings every three days – and adjourn until Sept. 2 – an agreement that blocks Trʋmp from making more recess appointments.
Pirro, 73, was a county prosecutor for 15 years, rising to the level of assistant district attorney, before being elected judge in 1990.

In 1993, she became the first woman elected to Westchester County’s top law-enforcement post, as district attorney.
The Albany Law School graduate served three terms as Westchester County district attorney and gained a reputation as a relentless prosecutor of domestic violence cases.
Pirro declined to run for re-election in 2005 — instead opting to challenge Hillary Clinton for her New York Senate seat.

Her Senate campaign was short-lived — she dropped out a few months after announcing her candidacy – but in 2006, Pirro was nominated as the GOP candidate for New York attorney general, a race she lost to future Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo.
Pirro, a longtime cable news and morning talk show contributor, joined Fox News in 2011, after starring on the courtroom reality show “Judge Jeanine Pirro” on the CW Television Network.
She has since joined a growing list of Fox News hosts and contributors chosen to serve in Trʋmp’s second-term administration, including Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino and Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard.
Pirro’s husband, Albert Pirro, who was convicted in 2000 on c0nsp1r2cy and tax evas10n ch2rg3s, was granted a pardon during the final moments of Trʋmp’s first term.
