MARK Wright’s mum Carol has thrown support behind disgraced James Argent after his horror att@ck on his beauty queen ex girlfriend.

Former Towie star James, 37, danced with his former co-star Megan McKenna, 32, following her wedding with footballer Oliver Burke, 28.

Posting a video to Instagram from the reception, he wrote in his caption: “Congratulations to the beautiful Bride, My dear friend @meganmckenna who got married to the lovely @oliverjburke yesterday.

“I can’t tell you how much it meant to me, That you wanted me there on your special Wedding day.

“We danced together just like old times in Nu Bar Loughton when we were kids.

“We always supported each other in those TOWIE days & remained friends ever since.

The straight-talking mum of Towie royalty, Mark and Jess was a key player in Essex for over 150 episodes and never held back when it came to offering advice to her kids.

Carol joined Towie in 2011 during its second series, where Mark and his then-girlfriend Lauren Goodger were central to the show’s main storyline.

She recently shared a sweet tribute to a new granddaughter as Michelle Keegan gave birth to a baby girl.

The post comes shortly after beauty queen Nicoline Artusson, 32, released a bombshell statement revealing shocking details about James’ att@ck on her.

James turned on model Nicoline while they were at their home in Spain last month.

He was arrested and spent several hours in police cells before admitting a charge of d0mestic vi0lence in court.

Nicoline later spoke out in a statement, confessing: “My fractures on my body have finally healed but I’m wounded inside.”

Recalling the traumatic experience, she said: “I was brutally thr0wn out of our new home in the middle of the night wearing only my pyjamas.

“I opened the door to let him in and only minutes after I found myself l@ying down on the stairs outside our house.

My clothes and belongings were being thr0wn out from the balcony down on me. I was 1njured.”

Nicoline also placed the blame for Argent’s violence with constant clashes over his ex-girlfriend Lydia Bright.

Shortly before the att@ck, she posted a story questioning whether it was acceptable for someone to remain close to their ex while in a new relationship.

And Nicoline claimed she and Argent often clashed over Lydia’s involvement in their romance.

She said: “I felt there were too many people in our relationship: me, my boyfriend and his ex. ‘Three’s a crowd’, they say.

“I asked so many times if we could be just the two of us, but the answer was a strong NO.

“I experienced what I can only describe as targeted em0tional d1stress which he allowed to continue.”

Nicoline continued: “After being together for one year my boyfriend finally promised me that he would have boundaries.

“He would put a stop to all that had been going on for months.

“But he didn’t. Instead he broke the promise and her controlling behaviour continued. The rest is history.”

Nicoline went on to thank the people who came to her aid and added: “I have tried to understand why.

“I have cried so many tears thinking about the way he chose to hurt me. He said he loved me and I believed him and here we are.

“There is now a legal record of what happened. Violence has no excuse – no matter how much love preceded it.”

Argent was handed a six month suspended sentence and a two-year r3straining 0rder banning him from contacting Nicoline.

He has only spoken once since The Sun revealed the att@ck on Nicoline and said: “I haven’t relapsed.

“I am still three years and four months clean and sober.

“I am devastated by what’s happened.”
