Shebz Miah has hinted that time could be “shorter than expected” for Emmerdale newcomer Kammy, as he gears up to take on Cain Dingle.
The Casualty actor, who plays the Dales’ newest addition, Kammy, made his dramatic ITV soap debut on Tuesday (March 18), pinching a quad bike from Moira’s farm, with the blame pinned on Ross.
He’s also caught the interest of Sarah Sugden (played by Katie Hill), and they’ve since been romantically involved. Meanwhile, bad boy Kammy has stolen a horse and will soon come to blows with Cain Dingle.
Yet, this could be just the tip of the iceberg for the character, as Shebz hinted that his stint on the farm “might be shorter than expected” when asked what viewers can expect from Kammy.
Shebz told Inside Soap: “Kammy is pushed to his limits, and it does involve the blue lights, the sirens and the Miranda rights! Then, we start to see the vulnerable side of Kammy crack through.
“He means well; he is just misunderstood. But because of that, his stay on the farm might be shorter than expected. Who knows? We’ll have to see because with every action, there’s always consequences.”
In a previous episode, Sarah and Kammy lost their jobs at the garage, and Sarah decided to take cash out of the office lockbox. However, things are about to get worse as they’ve eyed up Cain’s car.
Eagle-eyed telly fans may also recognise Shebz from another medical-themed show. In addition to playing Noor Din in Casualty, he also appeared in an episode of Doctors as Reece Shaw in 2023.
Speaking previously about Kammy, Katie said: “Kammy is a really fun, bubbly, cheeky chap character but he’s got a soft side as well.
“I think the audience are really going to like him. I can’t wait to see where Sarah and Kammy go together and I think he’s going to be a really good character.”
