Hoda Kotb Finally Reveals Renovation Project With Joanna Gaines Amid ‘Today’ Alum’s Wellness Brand Launch

Hoda Kotb’s having a big week! The former Today host launched her Joy 101 wellness brand, and she decided she needed an incredible space to house all of her ideas and serve as the headquarters for the projects. That’s where home design expert Joanna Gaines comes in!

In the caption of an Instagram post shared on Thursday, May 29, Hoda wrote, “I have some big news to share! @JoannaGaines is giving my @joy101 office space a #MiniReni. Tune in to see this transformation on the season finale Wednesday, July 9 at 8p/7c on @MagnoliaNetwork and @StreamOnMax.”

In the clip, Joanna, 47, and Hoda, 60, toured the space and the broadcaster discussed what she was hoping for when it came to renovations. Joanna said that seeing the office in person was a lot bigger than what she thought it would be.

“I’m so glad to be in this space,” Joanna said, to which Hoda replied, “It’s got something. I can imagine myself walking through the door here and seeing something happening.”

Hoda explained the inception of Joy 101, building a community for all things wellness and what she described as “a retreat in your pocket.”

“I am embarking on a brand-new business, and it’s a wellness business, so it has to feel uplifting and airy and free, and I was like, I don’t know anything about spaces,” Hoda told the camera. “And I was thinking, who would I call? Who could help me? Who would know? And only one name popped in, and it was like clear as day, and it was Joanna.”

Joanna then asked Hoda what exactly she envisioned people to be doing in the office, questioning if she imagined people doing yoga or working out. “What do we need to do in here?” the Magnolia entrepreneur asked.

“It’ll be an app, it’s going to be retreats, it’s going to be all the things. So this is going to be…” Hoda trailed off before Joanna finished, “Like the epicenter of ideas, the inspirations. So this needs to feel special.”

Hoda agreed, proving that Joanna was exactly the right person for the job because she understood the vision.

“As I stepped into that space for the first time, I thought it’s like the perfect template for a mini reni in that it’s white walls,” Joanna said in a confessional. “It’s very simple, and all I need to do now is build on those layers, that story, all the pretty stuff.”

Fans were thrilled to finally find out what the pair have been collaborating on, as they’ve both teased the project for months in previous Instagram posts. We’ll just all have to wait and see how the renovation turned out when the episode airs!
