The Stronger singer took the stage in a skintight black jumpsuit at Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena days before addressing Ozempic claims.

Throughout the two-hour concert on Friday, May 10, Kelly introduced each song and the meaning behind it – despite suffering a wardrobe malfunction and blanking on a lyric at one point.

When it came to introducing her hit Breakaway, she talked about how her family growing up inspired the song.

“It’s like, unfortunately, and fortunately how I get through things is writing.

“So I wrote this song when I was young and I wrote it about the vicious cycle that dysfunctional families can kind of, you know, those patterns that we can kind of carry on from our parents and they carry it on from theirs.

“And it’s all about trying to break that cycle, but it’s a very hard thing to do it turns out,” Kelly told the audience as seen in a video obtained by The U.S. Sun.

She continued: “But anyway, I had no idea that this song would relate to… It’s actually unfortunate how relatable it is I guess to people, but I had to fight like hell to get it on my record.

“They didn’t want it on the first record. They were like, ‘This is a horrible song. It doesn’t rhyme.’

“I fought for it really hard for the second album and it ended up being on there and then it ended up being number one worldwide.”

Breakaway was featured on The Princess Diaries 2 soundtrack as well as became the title of her second album, Breakaway, which was released in November 2004.

The music video portrays the singer as a young girl from a small town who follows her dream amid her family fights and ends up becoming a pop star.

Kelly’s parents divorced when she was six years old, which she has opened up about in the past.

HONEST ABOUT ‘ADDICTION’

Later on in the evening, Kelly introduced her song Sober.

The lyrics to the 2007 single uses addiction as a metaphor for a relationship, specifically for the line, “Three months and I’m still sober.”

It’s all about trying to break that cycle, but it’s a very hard thing to do it turns out.

When the American Idol alum introduced the song, she talked about addiction and how, “unfortunately, you know, it could be different things for different people in their lives and it’s a hard thing.”

“It’s a hard thing to like, stop something and then continually have to fight it every day of your life,” she said without specifying what addiction meant in her life today.

Kelly was married to her ex Brandon Blackstock, 47, from October 2013 to June 2020 when the TV personality filed for divorce.

The former couple have two children together: daughter River Rose, nine, and son Remington “Remy,” eight.

Brandon also has two older children, Savannah and Seth, from his previous marriage.

BACK IN COURT

Two days before Kelly took the stage in Atlantic City, it was reported that Kelly won a key ruling in her battle against her ex over commissions he paid himself as her manager while working for Starstruck, his father’s company.

Rolling Stone reported the exes will go head-to-head at trial starting August 27 in Los Angeles.

The trial will focus on whether Brandon violated the law when he got deals for his then-wife, such as her being a judge on The Voice, and collected fees on her deals in violation of California’s Talent Agencies Act.

California Labor Commissioner first ruled on the dispute last November, per the outlet – largely siding with the singer – and awarded her $2.6 million.

Brandon then appealed the ruling in December 2023. His lawyers requested a wide-ranging discovery process leading up to the retrial.

According to Radar, the film producer was slapped with a hefty order. In the recent hearing, the judge stated, “Plaintiff/Petitioner (Starstruck Management Group) has seven (7) days to post a bond of $1,5000,000.”

Kelly and her team has yet to speak out on the ruling.
