SAVANNAH Guthrie has had a rare brush with ex-co-host Matt Lauer after reportedly refusing to go near him on Saturday night.
The pair – who co-hosted Today for five years before the latter’s firing in 2017 – were celebrating an NBC producer’s wedding in New York City.

Today’s Special Projects producer, Jennifer Long, wed businessman Reid Sterrett at the Union League Club.
Lauer made an appearance which led to a rare reunion between him and multiple former NBC colleagues.
He was also there with Hoda Kotb, Craig Melvin, Sheinelle Jones, and weatherman Al Roker.
Lauer, 65, was infamously fired for “inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace” in November 2017 while co-hosting with Savannah.
In photos obtained by The U.S. Sun, he could be seen arriving with his girlfriend since 2019, Shamin Abas.
She wore a silky navy blue dress with strappy heels and a silver clutch and layered up with a cardigan and hoop earrings.
Lauer, meanwhile, donned a plaid suit paired with a pale blue button-down and navy tie as he flashed a light smile.
According to Page Six, Roker officiated the wedding.
‘CORDIAL AND FRIENDLY’
Savannah, 51, appeared to be in great spirits as she waved at photographers with a gigantic smile and strutted into the venue with her husband, Mike Feldman.
She donned a regal fitted black velvet dress that featured a white neckline that came together at a bow on her chest, while her man donned a dark blue suit.
Her happy demeanor comes as the Daily Mail reported that Guthrie “initially wanted to decline the invitation” when she heard Lauer would be there.
Yet she and new co-host Hoda Kotb reportedly “made the rounds with everyone and snapped selfies with guests,” Page Six added.
The outlet further reported that once inside “Lauer kept busy introducing his girlfriend to the guests at the party.”
On his interactions, sources claimed: “The exchanges between him and his former colleagues were very cordial and friendly.”
Given their reportedly dicey relationship following his scandal, it’s unclear whether Lauer and Guthrie spoke at all.
A source told People just last week that Lauer “iced out” many of his former co-workers and friends after fleeing to a farm in New Zealand shortly after his scandal broke.
The former morning show staple has since been living a “very quiet lifestyle” and is “going strong” with Abas.
Meanwhile, the ousted Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes – who recently went red carpet official (and whose respective exes are now dating) – also attended and made a splash.
They “were quite handsy” and engaged in “very dirty dancing on the dance floor” during the reception, another source told Page Six.

THEIR FALLING OUT
Savannah, and Hoda made TV history by becoming only the second all-female co-anchors ever following Matt’s exit in 2017.
Matt was fired from Today in 2017 amid sexual misconduct claims from multiple women- he and Savannah were co-hosts at the time.
Referring to Savannah: “She refused then and still does to this very day to listen to what Matt’s got to say,” a source told US in 2020.
“From the second the story came out, he feels Savannah jumped on the opportunity to bury him. It’s a betrayal in Matt’s eyes.”
Things have gotten so sour between the two that “now neither can talk with mutual friends without bringing up the other’s name,” adds the source. “It’s gotten pretty bad.”
Long left NBC’s Today in 2019 after 21 years, and worked closely with both Lauer and Guthrie before leaving for The Tonight Show.
The bride has since returned to Today and now again works closely with Guthrie.
MATT’S MISDOINGS
Matt was accused of a litany of sexual misconduct allegations over the years by a string of female employees.
The disgraced host has vigorously denied the allegations against him.
He was accused of sexually assaulting former NBC employee, Brooke Nevils, in 2014, which led to his firing.
She claimed that he had assaulted her in a hotel room at the 2014 Sochi Olympics, but Matt insisted that it was consensual.
Brook alleged in Ronan Farrow’s 2019 book, Catch and Kill: Lies, Spies, and a Conspiracy to Protect Predators, that she was “too drunk to consent to anything” and stated multiple times that she did not want to have sex.
Also in 2014, Matt was also believed to have had an affair with another NBC star, but their identity was kept private.
Then, more and more allegations started to come through from The New York Times, and Variety.
One complaint came from another NBC star who said Matt sexually assaulted her in his office in 2001.
He also made inappropriate comments to her since she started at the network in the 1990s.
According to Variety, three anonymous woman accused the former host of sexual harassment.
They claimed he once brought a female employee into his office, and then “dropped his pants, showing her his penis.” He also allegedly gave a former employee a sex toy and told her how he “wanted to use it on her.”
Matt was also accused of having a secret button installed under his desk, allowing him to lock women in his office.
In December 2017, former Today staff member Addie Zinone also released details of her affair with Matt.
She told Variety that she had a month-long affair with him in 2000 when she was a production assistant at NBC and he was newly married.
After all of this came to light, his then-wife Annette Roque filed for divorce in 2019.
Lauer became an anchor for Today in 1997, alongside Katie Couric.
